NB has no ranged option ultimate

Nightblade has no ranged option ultimate. They should rework useless Consuming Darkness from Shadow tree and do it ranged dmg option. Something like Unleash Darkness - bolts of shades than do dmg and mb little dot. One morph can be dmg with aoe dmg near target or second morph ignore targets resistances.

Nightblade doesn't need a ranged Ultimate. It would be nice if some of it's skills didn't have a super long travel time so that going into melee range payed off for more than just using incap. But overall it's plenty fine the way it is.

NB has above all and very sadly 2 ultimates which resemble each other and are used in much the same way. This is one of the things I deplore most about the class, in addition to having nothing in poison buff, sad for an assassin...

NB has 2 very similar ultimates, which I find are used in more or less the same way (Soul Shred and Consuming Darkness), and even more disappointing is the damage of these 2 ultimates, which are only for magic. This is one of the things that really disappointed me about the assassin, in addition to a sad lack of poison buff...

This game has been designed far too much for tanking/survival

This is because nightblade was originally conceived as the melee dps archetype. They aren't supposed to have access to ranged damage dealer tools that can compete with sorcerers, since those were originally conceived as the ranged dps archetype.

However there is nothing stopping you from using meteor, bow ult, or soul assault to play as a mediocre ranged dps with complete dependence on your team.

I agree with most of the comments given above. You can use non-class ultimate abilities that are ranged.

Also, only the Dragonknight and Sorcerer classes have ranged class ultimate abilities: Dragon Leap and Overload respectively.
All other class ultimate abilities are (mostly) in melee range or a fixed or movable area of effect.

Veil of blades and the other morph is useless in pvp, and I'm unsure how useful or commonly used it is in pve. a ranged class ulti would be nice. incap/other morph for single target dd, tether for aoe dmg, rework veil to be something else maybe conjure 5 shadow images that bum rush the target and do a bunch of melee dmg while snaring them for x seconds (still dot based). but yeah shadow ulti needs reworked badly.
