BUG - Some of my characters just won't load in

Today I have had this problem where some of my characters won't load at all - first time this happened this afternoon, it said something about 'transfer failed' and after that, every try on that particular character just had an endless loading screen that didn't even time out. Now, this evening, just before my guild's group play, my main character won't load in either.
What is going on here? Why is this just happening now?

I can logg in with three characters but the other ones had also an endless loading screen.
