Active Quest no longer the last you pick up? Bug or feature?

If this is a new feature you just killed the very last thing I log in to do... I only log in to do my writs, and, like many other crafters, we pre-make a week or two of writs, but now we have to cycle active quests to find if we hadning in or having to craft...

Just another reason I didn't buy Necrom and cancelled my ESO+... 8 years of worthless ranting from me and nothing ever works properly, or when it does, it's a new "feature" and not classifed as a "bug".... it's very tiring.

And if this is a new "feature" then at least allow us to have an option for a Dynamic quest journal, rather than a static one - or enable us to abandon main story quests so at least we can just solely have our crafting writs on us and not have to tolerate the nonsense.

The toggle in settings got switched to default differently; you need to go reset to the way you prefer.

Hi everyone! Apologies for the confusion here - just confirming as others have stated that we did add a new UI setting that allows you to automatically track a quest when you accept it, and the default is set to "Off". If you're on a quest and accept a new one, it will keep tracking the quest you were working on unless you switch this new setting to "On". The setting can be found in the Interface Settings under "Automatic Quest Tracking". We'll also retroactively add this to the U38 patch notes so it's properly documented.

oh thank god... although, I've now done 35 toons and deleted every single quest from them all... compounding that I won't ever properly play this game again!! haha

but thank you for the heads up... now do I have to do that for each toon?

There was a change to how active quests are cycled. However, you can go into settings and flip the "Automatic Quest Tracking" toggle to "on". That will revert it back to the old way it performed before.

Actually, this is a new option for those who wanted it, even though they should have put it on "on". Go to the gameplay tab of the settings, and it's the fourth of fifth option. Just set it to on, and you are good to go. Takes like two seconds once you've done it once.

It is good ZOS creates options for specific things for those who want it, as this allows us to place settings exactly how we want them. Even for those who like the most odd settings.

PS: Necrom is actually really great, you are missing out.

The time stamps of everyone's replies are so funny. GG for everyone being on their A game today to help others.

Yes you need to change settings in every char, the setting it's not account wide.

Makes sense it's going to have to be changed on every toon... why on earth would it be a convenient thing? loooool.

First time in 8 years I haven't played a DLC or Expansion upon release... and have no desire to spend money on this game anymore in all honestly. I play out of habit, not out of enjoyment. Haven't done anything other than my writs in 3 months pretty much...

I got tired of the constant nerfing, changing, bugging etc... the game is pretty, and the story lines have been really well done - and I don't regret at least 4 out of the last 8 years hahaha. But I ran a 500 strong guild for the entire time, we even had to expand to multiple guilds... but saw people all feeling the same sense of apathy... and all but a couple of dozen have left the game in the last 6 months.
