If you use the Arcanist's Runeblades skill to START a fight, i.e. the first cast, it will not generate a crux. So you end up needing to re-cast it 4 different times instead of the assumed 3 to reach max crux. On the other hand, skills like Runic Jolt will always generate a crux if used to engage a fight. It essentially causes a small gap in your crux generation unless you switch up your rotation somehow, ensuring that you are in combat before casting Runeblades.

It's a small thing, but it is kinda annoying. And I've seen more than a few people mention this issue since release, but never got any official comment from ZOS. I had hoped the patch would've addressed this, but unfortunately it didnt. So is this an oversight with Runeblades? Or actually intended behavior?
