A request: please give us the summer

I know that arcanists are going to be nerfed; every new expansion character class gets badly nerfed. Wardens have been nerfed into PVP non-competitiveness and necros have been nerfed into the ground. (Templars were even unnecessarily nerfed, still smh over that one.) I see the nerf hammer coming for arcanists soon and it’s the most fun class I’ve ever played. So… could you at least give us the summer to enjoy them before the big nerf comes and we have to go back to a PVP world of DK’s and sorcs? (I have at least one 50/2339 toon in every class and I’m in two PVP guilds, so, no, I’m not a noob, I do understand the classes, I don’t need to “git gud,” and my k/d ratios are just fine, thank you very much).

I came back for the Arcanist and Necrom. I will leave for the nerfs. My Rimworld playtime has been seriously diminished these past few weeks and I miss performing unethical surgeries on the people who attack my camp and kill my animals.

Very much in the John Wick vein, kill my pet dog and that pawn dies(eventually), their family dies and all their faction bases burn. Kill my pawns, but leave my animals alone !

It's gonna happen sooner or later. Whether or not it happens before summer ends remains to be seen. It's better to just accept the inevitability and prepare yourself.

I know it’s going to happen; it’s how they do business. But I’m only asking that they give us the summer and not nerf the class into the ground until school starts in the fall so we can have fun with the class and actually get our money’s worth.

The problem is, it is a really bad way to do business. it engenders resentment and anger. These are not good things for a company to do. Specifically angering the people that pay their wages is a good way of not staying in business, plus you then have to deal with all the content and social media complaints, reducing new players to the game too.

Overall, it is a poor business plan, and contributes to why this is nowhere near the popularity of FF.

I hope they give us the summer as I can't get the new chapter until August (bit of an expensive few months for me at the moment) so I would like a chance to play the pre-nerf version at least for a few weeks.

Especially since my main is a nerfed to oblivion and back Templar.

Mine was too. I feel your pain. I still have no idea why they destroyed the class.

I don’t think they have any idea how much resentment and hatred the nerfs cause. My best friend in the game quit the game completely because of them.

Just as long as they don’t nerf it until summer ends. I really wish they wouldn’t nerf it at all but regrettably that’s not how they do business.

I think you will find the opposite is also true. If they don't take action, people will complain that ZOS is ignoring the game and won't stick around playing a game where the devs don't care that the players are 'ruining' it. If they buff rather than nerf, then it is just an arms race and people will be complaining about other classes being buffed above whatever class they are using and how unfair it is.

As I see it, no matter how ZOS responds, someone is not going to be happy. This is why the best response is generally going to end up being adapt or leave. Whether ZOS does it the same, or different, nothing is going to change.

Ah, the company line. Now explain to me the justification for nerfing multiple classes into complete oblivion.

A lot of us stopped playing templars after that nerf. I love mine but they just can’t compete any more thanks to the nerf.

Wardens are actually the strongest dps class in pvp. You face any ballgroup and all of their dps who arent the lead are all hybrid wardens. Templars have been nerfed too far, Nbs can outheal templars these days.

This is why I haven't tried the arcanist yet. I know it'll be nerfed in the not too distant future, so rather than be disappointed, I figure I'll just wait for the nerfed version and see how it plays then.
