Thank you both for the posts, you are appreciated! :)

Does anyone know if those windows change with the day\night cycle in our homes?

The Fargrave windows are pretty different, but they are a similar style if one has to be choose between items this week.

That Redguard window is lovely, I bought a couple but since there is no scale to those tiles in the photos, it was way larger than I could use in Thieves Oasis.

ZOS, please add some sort of scale to the image so I can tell how large they really are.

works nicely with the redguard archway from some weeks ago. This means the window is pretty huge.

Sidenote: I get the light thrown on the floor effect only, if I set the time to "normal" with the Alkosh hourglass, not when I set a specific time like midnight. The pictures use specific times, so no effect.

You can always use the floor-pattern in the preview pics as some sort of scale.

There's a scale of sorts. Look at the tiling of the floor the items sit on. All items shown are on the same floor, which is made up of small tiles surrounded by a border of white tiles, a pattern repeated over the whole floor.

Compare the rain catcher pot with the tent or window for a relative size comparison.

Also Benevolent BowD does a great job of arranging all the items together in the one pic too. (Thanks so much for all your hard work BowD)

Different posters, I think(?!). BenevolentBowd and Enemoriana. Both much loved for doing this every week.

One thing I have requested before is ZOS give us the floor tile pattern in game we can actually see to compare with and actually place in our homes for reference. Or just put our own character in the preview to help with scale. This would help console players so much also we are looking at items in any preview window in the game, especially since console has no PTS to help look at items with.

    Stay safe :)

It fits fairly well in the wall niche in the second floor room in Pantherfang fort as well (note: I dropped it in there without much fine adjusting) making it so that room has a "window".

Those tents aren't worth 100,000 gold a piece. I'd buy for max 15k, and this would be already a lot.

I noticed this as well, which sounds like a bug to me and need to be reported. Wanted to get a closer look of how the thrown light looks, but because it was night in game I had to change the time of day, which didn't work at all no matter what time you set.

The preview at the Luxury Vendor? Those are just square tiles, they could be one foot wide on a side, one yard wide, or 10 feet wide. There is no scale indicating how long the side of the tile is, that is what is needed. When you show something to scale, you have actual measurements in the image.

The previews need a total overhaul. This gets raised frequently in the housing forum. It's effectively impossible to compare object by object unless you're into counting squares, except at a level that is so rough it's to all intents and purposes pointless, not least because the zoom out or zoom in from one object to the next makes it difficult to track scaling. One obvious solution would be to show your own character alongside.

There is a separate issue that the preview does not allow you to rotate through all axes. Not only does this mean you cant judge alternate uses for an object (eg the solitude floor that is stone on one side and wood on the other), but there remain items on the crown store *that do not have faces on all axes* (eg some rocks), and you don't see that until you've bought them.

    UPDATE:

I DO have now light thrown on the floor by the windows, with the time set to midnight.

Maybe now is a different "normal" time than last time, or they fixed something.
Let me check, setting time back to normal... ok, light still is there.

So you DO have a light effect, but it is the one from the normal time, ignoring the time set by the hourglass.

Furnishings that cast light cast it depending on the WEATHER, not time. If its bright moonlight or sun it casts light for example. This is not a bug, this is how all this kind of furnishings work. This is why we would need a weather toggle on houses too.
