I really have to say this: The Necrom main storyline is the best since quite a few years. It is intriguing and really well written. Thank you!

Hi! I absolutely agree! I haven't finished yet but so far it's 10/10! And I loved that you can use your "guild perks" to ease the quests (like persuasion, intimidation, lockpicking, stealing, there's more..). And this year's story feels different (and I mean, better) because of the iteraction it has with the map(s). I can't explain it exactly, it's like the main story relies on the side quests and the side quests rely on the main story. They are not separate stories but all branch into that one big plot. It puts a real ES experience into it. I love it!

Make sure not to have one of the new companions out when you hand in the story quest, at some point they spoiler the ending (which was reported on pts but not fixed).

Apart from that, yes I agree the story was great. Best in years for me.

Would be even better without the bugs (noted same bug on two different toons (both new for Necrom) and two different quests); posted in Bug forums. Different toons, different quests, different days (so no updates).

I liked the story itself, just hated the spiraling 'web' dungeon design where you have no clue where you need to go and many times have to JUMP down because it's not so obvious how to get around... one time I fell to my death because of it. I think linear dungeons are just fine, but they've gone overboard in their spiraling dungeon design with this chapter. Most of the delves, public dungeons, etc are all these spiraling dungeons and it more frustrating than 'fun' IMO.

Really enjoyed it until near what I perceive to be the end of the main questline where the difficulty level goes through the roof because the mechanics don't work properly (one of your allies is constantly telling you to use his powers, but the 'X' rarely appears onscreen to do so), which totally cruels the experience of playing a new character through to that point, with relative ease, then all of a sudden, the storyline can't be progressed because the mechanics are utterly messed up.
