Sea serpent's coil needs a nerf

I think the penalty should be more than just a snare. Increased cost to skills aswell would be more balanced

    What’s wrong with it? It has it’s niche, it doesn’t scream overpowered to me.

    Could you at least elaborate the problem you have with this mythic in it's present state, if you feel the need to call for nerfs?

    In addition, why do you propose explicitely increased skill cost, making the item de facto unusable on most builds (even in the niche it has)?

    Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

    Definitely need more elaboration. In pvp? Pve? Are people abusing it in some way? Wanting a nerf for no reason is definitely not the way to go.

    I think it's definitely overturned because its uptime is carried healing proc sets. If you fix the issue with those sets being able to carry your healing, the uptime will be reduced and I think the mythic will be more balanced. But we all know healing process will never not be fixed so that they're not a problem.

    Sorry I wasn't clear enough.
    Regarding the current access to Major protection and other tanky stuff AND the easy access to healing in all forms it is way too easy to mitigate incoming damage and heal up to full again to proc Sea-serpent.

    And it's also so easy to negate much of the snare with swift on jewelry and major/minor expedition. I think it needs to have some drawback that isn't that easy to negate thus my suggestion to increased cost.

    OR remove the snare and cause you to have minor or major vulnerability while you have major berserk making the item more risk vs reward type. Now it's just too easy to "bypass" the snare making the item just a pure boost.

    Oh yeah I forgot to add that I am talking about PVP since it's basically the only thing I play nowadays.

    I don't know. I realize it offers more than probably any other 1 piece and a lot of people use it and it's probably the best; yet I don't because I don't want the penalty. That sounds like it's at least not terribly imbalanced. Especially compared to other things in game

    I can see your problem now, but still don't think a nerf to a single item can solve the current issues regarding PvP, you name for yourself: too easy dmg-mitigation and far too many heals around. That should be adressed to achieve PvP being worthwile again.

    I nonetheless like the idea of switching the snare for vulnerability. So after the initial hit you have to decide quick, if you go all-in or try to escape the fight. Would definitely like to see such items. Again, not in the current PvP environment tho.

    Replacing the snare with Major Vulnerability would make this mythic much more balanced, akin to werewolf's Hircine's Rage having a unique Minor Vulnerability while Major Berserk is active (by ZOS's own stated reasoning), especially with the uptime this mythic has.

    Eh can we just have PVE mythics and PVP mythics already? It would be so much easier for both sides because balance in one is not often balance in another.

    The snare on top of other snares is brutal, lack of mobility will kill you in a lot of places. The cost is good. The coil is in a good place.

    Could probably remove the 40% damage resistance, gaining major courage and major berserk after being attacked from full-health should be more then enough, most 5 piece sets don't even give you that much power.

    Yeah haha that would be the best thing but ZOS is not that kind of company that would do that. They seem to always have something else on their mind instead of balancing. Just look at DK the last year, it's embarrassing how ZOS haven't done anything about this, but I have my suspections that they are slowly moving away from this game. Maybe it's a just a speculation but since I have been here since BETA I can safely say they don't treat this game the same way anymore and it seems to only spiral down more.

    Kind of my point, why even have 3 insane strong buffs with only one drawback that isn't that big of a deal.
