"Login Error"(no code) after 2 hours from being kicked for Inactivity.

This is the message I was working on sending "Customer Support" but, I am only trying to inform.
It requires one to do far more than just fill out a form.


I'm an add-on author and was out of the game for around a minute and was kicked for inactivity. Way to short of a time.
However, It didn't really matter. I wasn't really doing anything beside looking over LUA and chatting outside of game.
Around an our later I needed to do some testing and decided to log back in.

"Login Error.
An unexpected internal error has occurred.
Please contact"...

After an hour from being kicked, I have bean unable to log back in.
The gif shows repeated attempts with my internet ping to the right.

I'm sure restarting my pc will allow me to get back in game, it does if this happens after I plug into Ethernet when I connected on wifi. But I did not change connections this time around. Bean on the same NIC the whole time.

Taking my time to send this off....
2 hours have gone by since I was kicked for Inactivity and I am still unable to log in to the game.

I give it time and try a few repeated attempts.
Now that I know that this has at least carried on for 2 hours, I will shut everything down and see if rebooting lets me log in.

I was just playing ESO and my network went down unexpectedly. When it came back up and I tried to log back into ESO, I was getting this same message and nothing I did seemed to help.

Then I happened to notice that I'd gotten a system notification from Windows at about the time I'd started getting the error. It seems that somehow ESO no longer had permission to access my protected folders, despite having had access before. Once I gave ESO permission to access my protected folders again, I was able to log in successfully.

My situation might not be pertinent to yours, but it might be worth checking out.

I’m a PS console user, just trying to log in quick for daily rewards and I keep getting Login Failed. Is something going on with the servers?

Steam version for me, too. At first I thought it might be related to the latest Steam update, but as I mentioned in my case it turned out to be a permissions error preventing ESO from accessing my protected folders.
