Antiquity lead drop rate?

Hello I'm fairly new to the antiquity system and have been collecting leads for velothi ur-mage's amulet and was wondering, is it normal to not get a lead to drop even after 2 days of non stop farming? Because I still haven't gotten the lead from the underweave public dungeon to drop. I'm not max level yet either so was wondering if that plays a part in the reason im not seeing it drop either.

    Oh buddy, back when antiquities were first introduced it wasn't unheard of for people for go MONTHS without the lead they wanted. Especially that Auriel Font one. I still only have one of those, and it took me hours of grinding. Word is that the drop rates for some leads were bugged to be way rarer than intended, but there's still no confirmation on how much that was fixed. At the end of the day it's all random, you can roll a dice for hours and not hit a six if you're really unlucky.
    FYI your level has nothing to do with the leads themselves dropping, it's possible to get golds long before you have the ability to excavate them.

    yeah I've been farming for the lead in the underweave public dungeon non stop since i posted this.Actually I started farming for it 2 hours before i posted this topic.....no way is this normal. not to mention farming for this same lead the past 2 days before all day as well. Im sorry to say this but It's starting to kill the fun of even playing.

    the leads i particularly hate are the ones that come from dailies, still trying to get some of those like the last lead for the cryptcannon vestments

    non daily leads the hardest one ive tried to get so far was the one from the corlys the chainmaker WB, which took me like 8-12 kills to get the lead

    the vast majority of first time leads usually take me very few attempts, except ones from dailies which can take me weeks

    Have you guys tried farming purple Ayleid furnishing plans? I'm on hour 154 and still have never seen one. RNG for certain items in this game is absolute trash.

    Not saying it may NOT be bugged. Like I said, they did admit later that a lot of older leads were dropping way less than intended. You'd hope they'd learn to avoid that, but you never know. Or if you're being cynical, you could say that some leads are deliberately low to encourage people to interact with certain features more, artificially boosting participation statistics. But ZOS would never stoop to that behavior. *coughcough*

    what makes the grind so much worse is the fact that there is a cooldown for getting loot from bosses in delves and public dungeons. I get making the drop very low that's just basic mmo/rpg stuff but to add an actual forced 5 minute wait for getting loot from public dungeon bosses on top of that low rng based drop rate, that is insane. It makes the grind so much longer for no reason.

    the boss loot cooldown is 3 minutes, but some bosses can respawn much faster than that

    last night i was farming a delve boss and i swear it went like this

    kill1-kill2 7 min respawn
    kill2-kill3 10 min respawn
    kill3-kill4 8 min respawn
    kill4-kill5 10 sec respawn (no boss loot)
    kill5-kill6 5 sec respawn (no boss loot)
    kill6-kill7 8 sec respawn (no boss loot)
    kill7-kill8 2 min respawn
    kill8-kill9 4 min respawn (it was about kill 9 when i got the lead i was looking for so stopped tracking after that)

    the 3 min timer is well known because of people optimizing plunder skull farming lol (and there is even a plunder skull timer addon that keeps track of the time since last plunder skull pickup and if thats < 3 min then you know you wont get boss loot lol)

    its just annoying when bosses have a really variable respawn time of 10 sec to 10 minutes, if it was a consistent 5 min like most WBs then you almost always get loot from them

    lol, well i know generally why the respawn of delve bosses varies, so when there is a lot of people there/new people come into the delve, the ones casually running the delve wont have to wait a long time for the boss to "clear" the delve, i dont remember exactly when they implemented those respawn rules but its been a few years

    but it can be frustrating when your trying for a lead and sometimes the boss takes forever to respawn and not giving what you need, then it respawning extremely fast to the point you dont even get loot from the next 3 respawns, it turns that 3 min boss loot wait into closer to 8-10 min at times if you killed a fast respawn then it decides to take its time respawning

    still grinding for the lead in underweave public dungeon.....its been about 4 straight days of farming for it. I hate the sight of this dungeon now and i still can't get over this feeling like it might be bugged or something. They really need to re evaluate this drop rates of these things

    all leads aquired within 10min upto longest i think was there for around 2 hours before i made a comment on the lead drop to someone and it next kill gave me the lead, guess i got lucky ! one is just a matter of having alot of keys though at dungeon end although at the time i was full sets there and not been collecting keys and still got lead with 2 keys

    lol no way should this be normal. Farming for one antiquity lead for 5-6 hours a day for practically a week straight is very very bad design.

    that sounds like really really bad RNG, the majority of the new leads ive gotten in less than 5 kills (usually on the first or second), corlys the chainmaker i think required like 8 kills to get the lead

    i will say the most annoying lead im working on so far is the last one im missing for the esoteric greaves from the final secret boss in coral aerie
