On a new arcanist, I've been going through the story, side quests, dailies, delves, dungeons as they come along, not going out of my way to leave Necrom for more XP unless the story takes me elsewhere.
Now level 30 just leveling naturally, along with some XP scrolls I had stockpiled, picking up whatever gear drops.
I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. I'm using destruction staffs and find the firing faster and more responsive than other classes I've played.
Lots of fun, really
I've read the complaints about the bright lights, but I haven't been bothered by it since I zoom out all the way, so my character doesn't take up all that much of the screen.
I've been enjoying leveling my new Argonian Arcanist as well as doing dailies to level companions; already have Sharp and Azandar up to "Friendly" level and just completed their continued companion quests. Funny, I never did any of these for the other companions, but due to them gaining additional XP % with each rapport level, and ZOS reducing the amount of rapport needed to reach higher levels, I decided it was worth it for that XP gain factor alone.
Yeah, world bosses take ages already because virtually nobody is there. The only places where I saw a couple of players were the ones where the companion quests begin. The public dungeons seem completely deserted already, too. This makes the group challenges quite some challenges.

Nothing to keep people there. No new world event nor unquie rewards. We needed new food recipe or alchemy regent
I see green 9/10 in battlegrounds though and dungeons not mention dolmens

Ok, i thought it was just me. I was getting really weirded out about how deserted everything felt. I don’t remember waiting as long as I have in previous chapters to get people for wb fights this early in the chapter before.
I did not put it together with the lack of noteworthy drops or a lack of “true” world events. Although even in Blackwood it felt like there was more people.

The new class is extremely fun, and blackwood has fastest crafting writ section. Zone looks very similar to vanderfall just brighter...hence less exploring at least that one aproc is busier
I didn't see any new rewards for public dungeons?
There's a lot of nice antiquities that take me elsewhere.
The trial lacks urns and sets seems toooo familiar that they miss the mark
Didn't see any impressive Momentos that you can use on other people
Aren't blackwood portals solo content. This isn't good way to bring people in while lacking map markers like dolmens, dragons

The new class is fun, but I guess there is no direct reason, outside of RP, to level them in Necrom.
There is a non combat pet collectible in the public dungeons, but the sheer amount of drops for it seems so excessive that it does not feel worth acquiring.
Have not done the new trial yet. Nor do I really feel any desire to do it.
The new mythics are fine, not great, not awful, just meh. If I get them, I get them, but I am not perusing them.
The new companion quests are far too long. Instead of trying to unlock them on all of my characters, I am doing them selectively on far fewer characters.
Blackwood portals were community based, but solo accessible. Bastion nymics are tedious to get a group for, then tedious to do. I am happily avoiding them, and from what I can gather from our guild discord remarks, I am not alone.
Pass
Still I assumed there would be at least some crowds for wb fights, simply to aquire new furniture recipes. But I have not seen any drop yet. Are new furniture recipes even dropping from the dailies?
Maybe everything feels like it takes too long to do, so people are just giving up doing them?
