Snake In The Stars set does not proc off of minor debuffs coming from status effects.

5th bonus: "Applying a Major or Minor Debuff to an enemy applies Star Venom to them for 4 seconds"

Hemorrhaging Status (applies Minor Mangle) = no proc
Sundered Status (applies Minor Breach) = no proc

In fact, I do be applying debuffs on the enemy as you can see on the screenshot, but the Star Venom does not proc?
Is it supposed to be like that or it's just a bug?

That would be a proc proccing a proc. You need to apply the debuff yourself with an ability, like Backlash applying Minor Breach. To clarify: Trap applies Hemorrhaging, which applies Minor Mangle. Trap did not apply Minor Mangle directly, not like Backlash applies Minor Breach independently of whether it also applies Sundered.

ETA: same how Ele Sus does not proc EC - you apply the ability, the ability applies status effects, then the status effects apply the damage and minor debuffs, so all the elemental damage and minor debuffs are considered a proc and won’t apply Weaknesses from Elemental Catalyst.

Now proc sets can apply status effects (even when they don’t say they can), so procs do proc procs in that direction, but status effects won’t proc proc sets.

I see the logic here and understand how it works, but it's confusing. They need a better description to make more sense then

Because techically speaking, at the end of the day that's still ME who applies the debuff... Otherwise it shouldn't appear in the fight logs as MY debuffs-out. I mean if i didn't press the skill, there wouldn't be a debuff xDD

I have an addition to this and I just put in a ticket:

SitS doesn't proc even after using an ability like Dark Flare (applies Major defile to the enemy), nor does it work with Siphon Spirit

(which these moves directly apply debuffs, not indirectly).

@ZOS_Kevin, My husband submitted a ticket for this. He is using it on his templar.


Although backlash might work, minor breach doesn't come with the magicka morph. Itms just a bit silly that only select major/minor buffs work without specifying which ones do and don't.
