One of my guilds is a good non-sweaty trading guild and I only trade casually stuff I've acquired by myself. I try to price my wares to sell and do not mind at all if someone buys it to make profit. It's nice to have enough gold for my modest needs.

And as you have lots of motifs, mounts, pets and stuff new ones become less interesting and not much for the real flashy ones.
Number of times I rolled or streaked out of an resource in Cyrodil because some mounted their apex legendary mount while screaming bomber in voice is an meme now.

I have about 6M gold on PC but can't get to it (due to hardware Vs the size of the game). On Xbox I have about 100k gold but I'm at the early stage where I check what the golden vendor is selling. Almost blew the full £100k but decided to wait.

Oh. You know, I totally spaced the bag. Yeah. 6 years of farming every mat every one of my characters happens across, not to mention thousands of surveys by now. I don't know how much it might all be worth, because I never sell any of it.

As with you, I hoard. If I wanted to gold out 25 sets I could. (I don't - that would be just silly; I don't do the content that needs golded sets.)

Bit under 60 million at the moment, most I have had in the past is a bit over 120 million.

As for what I do with it, it sits in the bank until I need it for something, not going out of my way at the moment to make more, pretty much just throw 100K into each of the 2 trade guilds I am in every week to help out with the trader bid.(the minimum dues in each guild are only 10K though, so its not like I am in guilds forcing high donations on their members I just choose to donate that much since I don't sell stuff as often)

Other than that if there is something I want or need and its on a trader for a reasonable price I just buy it.

Crafting/upgrade materials, potions food/drink, repair kits, soul gems etc.. I am all self sufficient in for the most part. I only sell the gold/purple upgrade mats when I need more gold, when I don't I hoard them for my own use.

It takes time and effort but you can eventually reach self sufficiency in the game for most things.

after playing 5 years, 50-60 mio on xbox, spread on 2 accounts and 2 servers (4 logins).

Once you understand the keys of ESOs economy, you can get rich pretty quick (like anticyclic trading and value addition)

It increased most when I took 5 months break, just logging in each day to fill up the slots of the few remaining guilds I did not quit.
I do not even put too much effort in earning gold any longer, often sell cheap blueprints for 2200 gold instead of crafted furniture as before. Just because it consumes more time. Also stopped my crafting dailies. Nevertheless the gold increases.

As I also cancelled eso+ at that point, I no longer have much interest in buying houses or decorating them. So no need to buy stuff for that (50% slot limit). After the massive nerfs of U35 I also stopped maxing out my gear, so no need to buy gold platings or such.

So I use gold mainly to buy some newly released luxury furniture items, blueprints, and crown crates from a trusted crown seller I have, to gain GEMs for future (for nice dresses and make ups).

I think I had close to 2mil in my bank. Most of that came from fish sales to a buyer I used to have before I took a few months break after swapping to a different MMO as my 'primary' timesink. I used to be in a trade guild too, and I did get some sales from it, but direct selling to a dedicated buyer was always better long term. xD

With how sporadic I am in my playtime nowadays, not sure how much more I'll make beyond what's there now. I'd like more, since I have tons of homes I still want to buy + need to furnish.

At this rate I may as well just start selling crowns, lmao.

Both main mains have around 2m each as I recently bought Amaya each to decorate as libraries for their arcanists when they arrive. I earn gold by questing and daily writs as I am not a member of any guilds and don’t sell in zone chat. All motifs and recipes are passed down to my many alts, no matter how much they are worth, even though they don’t ever use them. All writs and crafting, even the food for everyone is created by my mains.

Whilst I am not really precious about the amount of gold I have, I have been working hard to get it back over 2m and always have a goal to increase it ready for the next house and furnishings.

I recently set up a second account (cough, minstrel scraps, cough) and both mains have less than 100k as I have to spend it on inventory as no ESO+ for this one. My original mains send them cash, recipes and furniture.

I'm approaching 7 mil. I never buy/sell from Guild traders (cost too much, not a member of a Guild), so all my gold comes from questing, writs etc. I'd probably be 10+ mil if I hadn't bought player homes and furnishing.

I actually had that thing happen where I got 1 lucky drop that made me 'rich'. I'd never had 1 million gold at the same time before (partially because I kept spending it) then I got a complete motif book which sold for 7 million.

It was pretty anticlimatic though because I didn't have that much to spend the gold on. I bought the rest of the bag upgrades I hadn't gotten around to on my alts, and a while ago when houses were on sale I bought a bunch with gold (mainly the smaller ones because I don't like the bigger ones) but most of it is just sitting there. Every so often I buy a bunch of motifs for my crafter, but I'd do that anyway and I don't do it frequently becausen buying from guild stores is so much hassle.

So since that happened I've been sitting around 5-6 million. It's nice to know it's there if I ever do want something expensive, or a lot of stuff at once, but it's been a couple of years now and it hasn't happened. There's just not that much to do with gold in this game.

I like to convert my gold to furniture because gold has a fixed value whereas many furniture pieces increase in value as game inflation increases. I also like to convert gold to crafting mats for the same reason. Typically I keep no more than 10 million gold but I have about 125 million in furniture and mats. To be honest, I can't figure out why I am accumulating all these assets. But I can't stop. Here's to the march towards 200 million.

I always keep a solid 69 million in my bank. No more no less. And then pocket change on my characters is used to buy potions as needed or crafting mats for my bag.

Last i checked my craft bag was worth over 300m.

If you are on PC you can get an add-on called net worth. You need to have TTC as well as it uses current TTC prices to estimate value. It will count items in your craft bag, on all toons and give you a total value for your worth. I believe it may even do furnishing but I am not into housing so not 100% sure how that works.
