How would you rate Cipher's Eye Watcher pet?

I was pretty excited for this pet (have never been excited for a pet before), and it was a big reason for me buying the deluxe edition. I was a little disappointed that its eye was so cloudy but not really a big deal. The fact that it only rarely pulls out the book and it lasts for such a short time was a big disappointment though. Ideally it would have always had the book out. The marketing feels a little misleading to be honest.

I am happy to finally have a watchling, but I am disappointed with the rarity of the book reading and how short it is. I feel it may actually be a bit bugged. I have seen the NPC versions reading a book for an extended time and the pet itself will sometimes have a book floating beneath it while moving. Maybe the animation cycle is buggy and it is supposed to keep the book out for longer? If so, hopefully it gets fixed.

I like it but for something without a mouth it's surprising loud and noisy. I keep checking my six for some monster creeping up on me.

Yeah I rather have the book always there or way more often

Mine seems to pull its book out quite often. I'd have given it a 5 if not for the cloudy eyeballs.

I gave it a two because the noises it constantly makes drives me nuts to the point I cannot keep it out. For those complaining about the cloudy eyes, have you not done Azandar's quest? If you had, you'd know it's basically a "mini-Tem".

As for the book reading, I believe it was @ZOS_GinaBruno that stated in another thread that it doesn't read the book very often, as someone was wondering if it reads the book often.

Think it looks worse than the other watcher pets with its glowy bits and odd texture.

Don't have it myself, but have seen a friend's up close in her house; I think the previous watcher pets were more interesting/attractive.
