Are you tired of being forced into the Seeker battles without warning?

The seekers drag ANYONE within proximity into combat with aoes. Even if not involved in the combat and doing something else, the AOES attack and interrupt.

I've had fishing interrupted, unable to use wayshrines and now was pulled out of a conversation of the main plot with the npcs because someone nearby was fighting a seeker.

I really hope this changes this so if you aren't part of the fight the AOES don't attack you.

Ugh. That's sucky. Good thing I'm waiting until the mob dies off before going there. Hope they fix it!

I know I've been pulled out of a dig site due to a seeker nearby being attacked. Hope something is done to change that.

Yep, been harassed with those things throughout my and my friends' journey through the main story. We'll be pulled out of conversations because a Seeker is being fought over two hills away from us, yet somehow its tentacles reach way beyond the immediate area, even when we aren't engaged with it.

I've also been pulled out of side story conversations this way, and have had fishing or gathering interrupted.

I don't mind the idea of the Seekers, but my gods can ZOS lower the distance at which they'll drag people into the fight via tentacles? It is genuinely annoying.

Yup. I've had it happen on two separate occasions while engaged in conversation with a Necrom story-line NPC, in the middle of the quest, and a third time while fishing.

    Not cool.

Funny thing is (sarcasm), if you are the only one around, the Seekers will ignore you if you don't mess with them. I've stood there fishing, for several minutes, while a Seeker floated back and forth along its path, almost close enough to touch me, and it never reacted.
And I've ran by in very close proximity to several others without them giving me any notice.

So this is definitely driven by other people actively engaging the Seekers.

Have been pulled into battle while fishing, while excavating, and while scrying. I did find out that if scrying is interrupted, all the selected facets remain, and you can continue where you left off.

If I see players fighting them, I do not mind helping, but I do not want to get dragged into the battles.

ZOS should make seekers spawn in one specific location(one in apocrypha and one in the peninsula), so those who need them know where to find them. And so those who don't want them, can avoid them. Would be the best for both sides.

PS: Remove the add spawn phase from these things.

I'm going to be an ornery contrarian and say that this is actually kind of cool. I mean, in the sense that poopy stuff happens in real life, so it kind of makes the game world a bit more realistic-- in an unpleasant way, but still...

Well, I'm all but done with the overland content so it doesn't happen much anymore. When I'm roaming overland it's usually because I'm looking for seekers to kill.
Still think it's weird though, the seekers themselves have a very short agro range, but when the fight starts they attack everything in the vicinity.

Maybe you should post some helpful tips in one of the other sub-forums-- Players Helping Players, or Quests and Exploration?

I've often thought it would be nice to have a thread, or several threads, devoted to players' tips on how to beat specific world bosses. I doubt there would be a need to have an entire thread devoted to a single boss-- especially if it's a base game boss-- but for the more challenging bosses it might be nice to have tips from players with characters of differing classes, weapons, fighting styles (melee vs. ranged), etc.

For certain bosses it might be nice to have an entire thread devoted to them, but for most bosses perhaps there could just be a separate thread for each zone in the game-- Glenumbra bosses, Grahtwood bosses, Northern Elsweyr bosses, etc.? The idea would be that players could easily locate tips regarding specific bosses they're struggling with.

It’s funny because I’ll be standing right by a fresh one out of combat, both on low level characters and high cp, and it still won’t agro. But then I’ll be a mile away and get tentacled by someone else’s fight.

So the game will become more predictable and less immersive -again- got it. Not to criticise too much, but there is a pretty large post about the crux nerfs to Arcanists, why wasnt that passed along instead, this doesnt even have ONE page yet.

YES. I'm sick of getting pulled out of content I actually want to do by fights a mile away I want no part of. PLEASE stop interrupting my teleports, my wayshrine ports, harvesting, antiquities, and NPC/quest dialogue to smack me in the face with yet another writhing tentacle out of nowhere. This ain't an *ahem* adult anime. Between this, Bastion Nymic, and difficulty until last Monday's patch with getting people to even show up at world bosses soon after launch, I'm barely touching the Necrom content outside of doing daily writs in town. I don't think this is what ZOS had in mind when they put out this year's biggest ESO release, that people wouldn't want to play it, but that seems to be the takeaway for far too many players.

I noticed after 3 separate attempts that they do hit reasonably harder than most.
What kills us is their channel / charged attack, which almost 1-shots (if not a 1 shot), so interrupting is paramount.
Also the adds. They have a good chunk of life, so they need to die quickly.

As for overall difficulty, I found that even with my non-meta DPS gear, I did not have sufficient self-heals to not die from the overall damage without using a cheese unique. Finally, after dying about 3 times, I just switched to my heal gear and loadout. It took about 3 minutes to kill each one solo, but I was in no danger of death.

Methinks they were intended to be for groups of 2 or more.
