Hello,
Necrom is my first ESO and I'm a little lost trying to play the story in chronological order.
Even if I follow the "story" category in the quest log, I get lost in all the side quests of the individual maps. If the "story" only takes me briefly to another map to speak to an NPC there and then to return.
Not sure if to complete the zone guide of each map one by one is showing me the main story. Like it is suggested by different online guides.
On https://www.esoui.com i didn't found an addon which support here.
This is the reason i ask here if there is for example a addon, web site or else for this.

Regards

    This is great https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/525351/a-clear-step-by-step-guide-to-playing-eso-in-chronological-order#latest

But more, here's a couple of tips from someone who was new just a short few months ago.

Try to keep focus on the quest and zone you are on (if you are doing chronological order). If you pick up quests for prologue etc you can just abandon them. In fact you can freely abandon quests at will, you can always pick them back up again.

    As you settle in to the idea of that there's a few things which are 'wish I'd done this sooner' :) They are;

Join a really friendly guild where you can ask questions and find groups. Look for ones describing themselves as relaxed would be my advice.
Find a companion (if you have the DLC's)
Start your ride training every day
Do a Fighters Guild and Mages Guild quest every day
Get yourself certified to craft (in major cities) to do Daily Writs
Split your time doing your zone quests with a dose of skyshard farming, dungeons, fishing, exploration, or any of the other many things ESO has for you :)

    and the biggest....
    Spoiler
If you go to the Battlemaster in any major city they will give you training 'quests' for PVP. You can do the training quests and never have to actually do PVP (important for some) and you get enough skill line to get a passive skill called Rapid Maneuver which has a massive ride speed boost! Best skill point you'll even earn

In fact you can freely abandon quests at will, you can always pick them back up again.

There is one exception to this that I have found, and that is the Main [game] Quest, which (for the new folks) is initiated in the first base-game zone you visit in the game by "The Hooded Figure," who approaches you and implores you to speak to her mysterious Benefactor.
Once you initiate the Main Quest, you won't be able to abandon it; it will stay in your quest list.

Interesting to see a new playing being confused because of wanting to play in chrono order. ZOS made the decision to have new players start in the new content and opened up the world map FOR new players.

      Greetings,

This thread has been moved to the Add-Ons & UI Mods section, as it is better suited there.

      Thank you for your understanding.

I'm only 4 months in. As soon as I saw Titan Lady imprisoned, and then bumped in to her in town, I resolved to do everything chronologically. I complete and clear every zone - basically until the Zone Explorer says done. 4 months in I've done Cadwell Gold, Craglorn, Thieves (Hews Bane), and currently on Dark Brotherhood (Gold Coast).

I really couldnt do it any other way, it would drive me nuts. Every game I play I like to start at the beginning, learn everything, experience everything, move on a step.

EDIT: BUT!!!! I think ZoS made the right call because I go get things like Antiquities when I want them/become aware of them. The only bit I hate is all DLC dungeons at 45 - I'm a thorough player so suddenly having like 30 dungeons with 6 bosses each and you dont know what you'll get gives me shivers. My tank is parked at 45 even though by now I really do know them all. The responsibility!!!! :D

For the most part, if you queue for the Dungeons on Normal difficulty you'll get two or three high level partners that will, no offense, carry you thru so you can even complete the DLC ones until you get more capable for Veteran. I do appreciate players like you though that insist on playing content in the order they've released, and you do have some fun times ahead of you once you reach Vvardenfell, or even Wrothgar! That's a good one. Actually I think if you're in The Gold Coast now, Wrothgar's your next stop.
