Change 5pc sets to 4pc sets

Hear me out please. In my opinion this is long overdue. Especially with the addition to mythic sets added to the game. It would make the game better in the long run when it comes to sets and builds.
Only down side would be that Zos would have to get rid of one of the set bonuses to make it a 4pc.

Just some examples I can give on how it would make combo building better.

Combos:
1pc Mythic, x2 4pc set, 3pc set(example Willpower).
1pc Mythic, 4pc set, 2pc Monster, 2pc Weapon, 3pc set.
x3 4pc set.
x2 4pc set, 2pc Monster, 2pc weapon.

These are just a few examples. Let me know what you think.

Or, just add a separate slot specifically for a mythic item, probably easier to do. Won’t happen but hey ***

It would likely drive up the power gap between players based on gearing which is arguably already problematic.

You'd likely need to re-balance items as some might not be very balanced under the changes.

It might create problems for PvP having too many sets proc at once.

Further, the level of complexity in the builds might become too high for people running lots of alts and trying to do their own builds. The lack of balance between sets coupled with the number of sets already makes it a bit of a pain with the relatively simple existing options.

Nope, keep as is please. Balancing the sets is hard enough now, let alone changing parameters.

I think the idea is that, yes, you need to make choices with consequences to fit mythics / monster sets / Arena weapons etc.

Nah, I like that we have to make choices.

Sets that can be used on one bar or sets that need to be double barred.

If the latter, choose between mythic, arena weapons and monster set

It's fine how it is. No need to change something that isn't broken.

Others have already brought up the balancing concerns but it would be funny for the one tank in a dungeon to be able to do a sax+pillagers warhorn and still have olorime or something.

That would be a bad idea, everyone would be overpowered. You can already steamroll over most content, this would kill the game, making it extremely boring.

Oooo... oooo... I know, I know!!

3 piece sets so I can have two full sets, mythic, arena weapons and two monster pieces!

Or 4 full sets for complete procaggedon!

To be honest, I think I'd actually like having more 3 piece sets (if they were better than those that currently exist and aren't limited to just jewelry and weapon pieces).

Why not twelve 1 piece sets?

Personally I like it the way it is.

Given the sheer amount of 5pc sets already available ingame, it would be a nightmare balancing-wise to rework all of them entirely.

That said, I think it would be reasonable to publish more 4pc (or even 3pc) sets in future content to expand gearing options.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

That would just increase the power creep substantially. The point of a mythic is to be forced to give something up for the powerful buffs they give.

Here’s another problem with that: organization. People do 5pc body, 5pc jewel/weapon so its easier to swap things. How are you gonna do a 4pc? 2pc jewelry, 1 2h weapon? 1pc jewelry, boots, legs, chest? 5pc just makes more sense. You can already do something like this:
    - 2pc monster
    - 1-bar 5pc
    - 1-bar 5pc
    - mythic
    - 1pc trainee

    Or
    - 5pc body
    - 1-bar 5pc
    - Mythic
    - 1pc monster
    - 1-bar arena

My math might be a little off but it’s something similar at least.
