Arcanist: 3 skills that need attention.

First of all, I'm loving the class that I said I wasn't going to buy. The team obviously put some love into making it and I think that merits some appreciation. Good job team!

There are, however, three skills I think need some attention.
1. Circumvented fate. This passive which grants the user and their allies minor evasion is simply hurting all AoE builds in PvP at a time when introducing defensive anything is a bad idea. The pain point here is that it affects allies, so the passive should at least be changed to affect the user only, but a complete trade off to a different buff may be a good idea.
2. Arcanists domain. This skill feels lacking. The healing morph is ok, moreso for PvE, but the other morph is pretty much...filler? Perhaps have it grant major versions of it's buffs when within the area and retain the minor version when leaving the area. As is, it doesn't feel like anything and there's little incentive to slot it, use it, or stay in the area.
3. Apocryphal gate. This skill is DoA in my opinion, simply because it is bugged to heck. It often fails to cast, but that's just about know the terrain. The bug is that it often fails to create the initial portal when it casts. You can still use portal B in this case, which takes you to portal B. Maybe both portals are simply in the exact same space? At any rate, the ability, mainly a PvP skill, feels like too much of a liability to use. It should teleport the user to portal B immediately and leave behind portal A where the player was. This way, the detection logic for portal A's positioning can be dropped altogether.

    Honestly the Gate is the biggest disappointment of the expansion, doesn't work with any elevation whatsoever (I know, exploiting it in pvp to get into keeps) and covers so little distance that i would rather just use RaT or wear the ring of wild hunt

    During the reveal trailer it showed an arcanist casting it to a ledge above that would normally require going around, it doesn't work on that ledge in game. I don't like using the term "they lied to us" when it comes to tech/gaming but I feel cheated. This should be one of the super nice things that make the class shine for your questers, like night blades stealthing through an entire instance or sorcs blitzing through with high speed and streak stuns, but nope we get an ability that absolutely no one gets any use of

    It's absolutely worthless in PvP with the issue as well, RaT and the vampire ability make it a wasted slot when you can't rely on it to function

    Portals crash you, I listed other complaints in the topic. Can't even get across puddles/cracks in CoA I final fight

    #2- your suggestion for major evasion makes sense only within the area of effect, however the stated bonus is to have the minor courage effect persist. You clearly don't want major evasion to stick and I agree it would be bad, but adding major evasion only while in the area makes the skill weird.

    #1 Evasion is a buff you have to build to get so I generally agree with what you're stating here. If a coordinated group has this built in with with Gossamer it will likely make them more difficult to beat.
