Looting from the world with this guy will give you extra treasure, treasure maps, furnishings, surveys, and if you are morally ambiguous, you can "steal" from the urns around Necrom- allowing everything you pilfer from dunmer ancestors to be stolen- which can help level up your Ledgerdemain skill when you sell or launder the items at a Fence.

This theft sometimes results in finding oddities and ritual objects, both of which he enjoys when you loot.

Loot enough of these and do enough enchanting writs and you'll get him to max rapport, which will enable you to do the quests to have access to this perk at any time, including during trials, where you will get some extra loot from checking containers.

Azandir is definitely one of the best companions thus far in my opinion.

I'm on console, so can't really comment on how good it is, but would be kinda weird is they nerf it.
Bastians perk has been bugged/underperforming since launch, and they never touched or commented on it.

I have the quests for Bastian still, never completed because I don't want junk potions filling up my inventory. If the potions were worth more gold at a vendor (like 50g at least) I would loot them to sell them, but they aren't.

It continues to be ridiculous. A whole companion perk just outright broken and not a peep. A thread a while back had many people tagging names for dev imput and the whole thing was just shuffled off to die without a single reply.

It's on the same level as Mirri or Isobel bags in terms of loot with a few extra bonuses. Most of the time you get common and uncommon items, sometimes superior quality, and a very rare chance at epic treasure or furnishing plans. I've gotten more epic items from Mirri bags than Isobel on a personal experience.
