Sharp-as-Night's outfit glitches and changes color

I'm on PC-NA, and just ran into a bug when I tried changing Sharp-as-Night's outfit. At first I tried dyeing the Austere Warden Outfit (yes, I have ESO+), but it kept reverting back to its original color once I'd exited the station. Switched to Black Hand Robe, and it alternates between the colors I chose and some grayish-brown hue that is not the outfit's original color, as shown in the screenshots.

The outfit chosen in the Collections part in Sharp's Companion menu alternates between having a check mark and the icon similar to when you hide a head or shoulders armor piece.

This happened for both outfits I tried dyeing.

l'm going to wait to spend more gold at the outfit station once his outfit is consistently staying a color I like. Hope this provides the info you need to address the issue, and please let me know if I need to provide any more details that I've left out. I understand that this isn't a game-breaking or pressing bug, though, and that it could take some time to get to.

pretty sure the icon showing something is hidden is due to the fact the costume has a hood, and companions arent allowed to wear any headgear so they can be a sea of clones

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

After further testing it looks like this changing icon is unrelated to Sharp or the outfit chosen. I had a Kollopi Essence disguise slotted in my character's appearance slot in her equipment, and while it was slotted her costumes and all of her companions' costumes had this flashing icon appear in the Collectibles > Appearance > Costumes window. After unequipping the disguise the icon stays as the check mark. Upon re-equipping it, the icon again begins rotating between a check mark and crossed-out eye. Why this applies to my companions as well I have no idea, but it doesn't seem to be related to Sharp's changing outfit colors, and didn't occur on any of my other characters who do not wear disguises or their companions.

yeah it does this for your own collectibles if you have stuff that is "incompatible" with each other, one of the items will be hidden

if you equip a polymorph and have a skin, head markings, hat, etc applied, all of those will show the crossed out eye because those items are equipped but hidden

its doing this on this costume for sharp because the "hood" part of the costume is being hidden, if you equipped a costume with no head cosmetic (no hat, hood, anything on the head) then it would not show the slashed eye because nothing would be hidden
