Which addon is stopping me from reading books?

Every time I loot a book, I cannot read it. I am sure it's an addon doing this because when I turn them all off, the problem is fixed.

I know what you're going to say, "So turn them all off and turn each one on, one-by-one, and figure out which one it is."

The problem is, I have too many addons. This would take all night.

I'm just hoping someone else has already figured out which addon is the problem child.

Yup, No Thank You has an option to turn them off but it now does so regardless of your setting.

    It's fixable
open up NoThankYou.lua in notepad++ or sublimetext or whatever
go to line 2131 that says "DontReadBooks()"
Change the line so it says "--DontReadBooks()"
    Save
    Reloadui
    ta-da

    Hi there!

Even though the question was answered, we've gone ahead and moved this thread to a category we think is more suitable for this topic, Players helping Players. Just in case others may need this help as well.

    Thanks for your understanding.

This is just weird. I added the two -- wednesday, and it worked. But now the books once again won't stay open.
Edit: knowing nothing about making addons I was altering the saved variables lua file instead of the actual addon file. 🤦

Thank you for this - after a reloadui it threw up an error message, but it still just Works. I like to read the quest notes as I get them and the auto closing was annoying.

    Thanks! 👍
