Is Arcanist based on Star Treks nemesis, the Borg ?

Great theat we've finally received a new class - its been far too long... but the Borg ? The Arcanist class skills aesthetics look like they've been heavily influenced by Star Treks nemesis.
Obviously the first place most players go when leveling a new char is Dolmen runs and Alik'r Desert dolmens now resemble Borg drones assimilating Daedra !
Wonder when new 'Borg' themed guilds will spring up if they haven't already... 'The Collective'... 'You have been Assimilated'... etc

Crimsonorion✭✭✭Yea I got Alik'r today for the Anchor daily, got finished super quick cause of all the Arcanist just spinning in place doing that green beam attack. A bunch of low levels running around as a close knit group spamming the same attacks over and over? Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.1 -
