I created an Arcanist yesterday and hit 50 today Now I am enjoying her in Cyrodiil and IC. It was a grind to level up but with XP scrolls and leveling gear in lv 4, 10, 20, 30 and 40 it was not too hard.
The new zones I only did some delves and unlocked the shrines this far

How did you manage to level that fast? I have scrolls and ambrosia but what gear do you use to level?

I created 5 pieces of Heartland conquer and New Moons Acolyte all in purple and training as well as purple glyphs.. one of the sets for weapons, necklace, and two body pieces, the other the remaining 5 armor pieces. Heartland conquer boost weapon traits including training trait.
I alternated between doing the main prophet quest line, and an hour of Alikir Dolmens we also had a guild event Monday evening where we did most of the public dungeons group events for skill points. I also used some crowns I had from monthly rewards to buy the sky shards in IC and Cyrodiil.

Amazingly, I was able to get a Day 1 vet clear of Sanity's Edge in a PUG run! And the trial is simply gorgeous. I wish the sets were better because it's a fun trial to run although the portal puzzle bit is confusing and the ad pulls are ridiculous (I'm sure as tanks get more used to where to put things that will get easier). We were lucky in that we had high end dps and also had a tank who knew what he was doing (he was able to explain the whole trial really well). Most Day 1 PUG runs are disasters but you kinda know that going in and I think a lot of us only really expected to see what the trial was like rather than clear.
I haven't gotten to explore apocrypha just yet but have I did grab Sharp and complete his quest. So far, it's been a lot of fun.

So sometimes with ad pulls a lot of people die. Chain rez is basically you get rez'd and rez the person next to you and that person rez's someone else (like everyone is a link in a chain). It's just making sure everyone rez's instead of relying on one person to do it all.
I didn't plan to create an arcanist but didn't want to go through the Necrom story with a L50 character, so I thought I'd give it a try
Playing a magicka staff arcanist with light armor that I pick up
So far I'm using her only in Necrom going through the story line, letting her level naturally as the story progresses
I am using CP on her (can't resist), but it seems to me this is the most powerful and easy-to-play low-level character I've ever created (out of 33 others).
Almost right off the bat you can choose three skills that give you:
1. A spammable that generates the three needed crux in just a few hits
2. A killer beam that procs off that crux that also shields you while you're melting everything with it
3. A strong self-heal
I've never seen so much damage and self-healing that's so intuitive to play on a new character before.
I can't speak to how useful the arcanist will be on high levels, but I think ZOS is on target with new players with this class
