Will they ever add Steam achievements?

Will this ever happen? I mean they already got trading cards and other stuff so why not achievements? Can't be that hard to do when there's already a achievement system in game.

I mean there's a LOT of achievements in the game. In most steam games it's around 100 max while here's it's probs in the thousands.
    110-114k Stage 4 Vamprie Magblade u39
Aldmeri Dominion did nothing wrong in Shadowfen.

Hopefully never, not really needed in my honest view but then don't use steam to play on PC and the game has them built in already and can share what you have done with friends in game already.

I'm not against steam achievements per se, as I don't play using steam and only care about achievements if there's something useful to be gained by doing them.

Thing is, ZoS will have to create those achievements and I much rather have them spent that time on in-game issues/improvements of which there are enough to last them a few years as it is.
If it were up to steam to make those, I would have no objections, but it isn't. So I understand ZoS for not caring.

Halo MCC Has nearly 1000 achievements, so that really isnt an excuse.

I wish they would, I like to have a gaming legacy, and with steam I have that. With ESO being my favorite game, I have 0 understanding for their lack of achievements.

If fallout76 can do it, so can ESO. Saying " it excludes other platforms " is ridiculous, because they have their own achievements, and you do not need to purchase the game again to play it on steam.

I hope not. This would be very unfair to those of us that don't use steam.

How, you have your normal achievements. Nothing is stopping you from playing on steam.

Steam achievements are a no brainer. Even FO76 did it.

ESO already has achievements on Xbox, so they already have a list of accomplishments that would be usable. I was honestly surprised that there weren't any on Steam when I moved to PC.

You have to remember, ESO launched well before it was available on Steam. Many of us from launch didn't need or want Steam.
I personally only use Steam for Skyrim and only because I have to.
Nothing is stopping us from using Steam except we chose not to.

And you still have your in game achievements, so you lose nothing, it would just be a copy paste of the in game achievements, so when the game dies, everything we did isnt lost in time as if it never happened.

I too played since beta, and I moved to steam because it simply is more user friendly, didnt cost me a dime, and it has trading cards.

People who did not purchase the game through steam can't play the game through steam. I think I remember a poll asking who played through steam and it was less than 50% of the player base. Steam is not part of ZOS, so there should never be any in game "steam achievements".

I purchased the game at launch, and play on steam, all my content is included. They would not be " in game achievements" they would be STEAM achievements, so you can dsplay them on your profile.

Again, people who do not play on steam, would be fine. They did it on fallout76, and also less than half play on there.

So you should be posting this discussion on Steam forums instead of here if I'm understanding you correctly.

It is a cooperation between the development team and steam team. As someone already mentioned as well, there are xbox achievements, they would only need to be copy pasted with the zos dev teams permission.

FO76 did a lot of things, most of them wrong. People should stop citing that game in support of what they want this game to be, it's unlikely to end well!

At this point post AWA there’s no reason not to have Steam achievements. I’d like them a lot.
