Does researched traits spread across account?

I wonder if traits I researched on my main will be available on alts as well, and vice versa?

Otherwise it's too harsh to research all traits imo.

    from what I have seen no it does not cross characters would have to verify at crafting station but I do not believe so

    Then it's going to be pain - research everything for one char, and switch from alts to craft anything.

    No they do not. I have 3 characters, items in the bank is shared, but all the traits have to be relearned...it is a pain but i do see how they avoid making a character with special traits unlock to level 3-4 characters from the start.
    mDKs still need a lot of love!

    That doesn't matter really - if I'd want - I will craft some low level items with my main for my alts as well.
    No chance to stop spreading high traits.
    No, there is other reason - Zenimax is doing their best to keep players as long as possible - for many of us unlocking all traits will be a challenge and they will continue playing on.

    You can off course use several alts to research all traits from a single piece. Currently using

    If you go the alt route to learn traits you may have issues with getting they style you want as the style books are pretty rare. Getting a full set for all of your alts will also take a very long time.
    Nothing is impossible... there are only differing degrees of probability.

    @Allonan ...or be very expensive.

    @Angelm There is a much more practical reason to learn all the traits than treating it like an achievement. There are special crafting tables hidden in the world, which require that you know X number of traits to craft any item. So at an early table you discover you may be able to craft a bow if you know 3 traits, but not a staff if you only know 2. Later tables require more and more traits. If you plan on doing any smithing, you will want to start research immediately.
