I think the idea is to tell interesting stories in empty areas of the map, not make sure that all races are balanced.

Because the bosmer already have all their zones occupied in the base game.
The same goes for Orcs, Bretons, and High Elves.
They invented an island for the Bretons because there was no room for further expansion in Tamriel.
And the dark elves have fewer and fewer areas available in Tamriel.

Probably a decision based on the last couple years with flops for main story expansions. It's easier to make stories in places that were done before, both because they were done before and, since they were done before, they can bring about nostalgia.

I would have preferred that this year they had brought out the kingdom of Hermaeus Mora and nothing else.
The Tamriel map needs an urgent overhaul, before they keep adding more chapters until they run out of space and have a huge ball of problems that they can't solve in no time.

Zos can't remember where exactly they put Falinesti, so unfortunately no expansion for bosmer.
Never get between a cat and it's candy!

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

So invent an island for wood elves, orcs, and you might as well invent an area for Redguards too.

Because some of the players have been asking for a Telvanni expansion for a long time. Just like some of the players have been asking for a new class for a long time. And just like some of the players had been asking for companions to be added to the game, and some of the players had been asking for a card game to be added. Believe it or not, ZOS does listen, even if they don't decide to act on every single request and can't possibly hope to please everyone with the requests they do act on.

*shrug* I'm happy for a new class, and revisiting Apocrypha, but I'm not thrilled at all about more Dunmer. I turned my remaining Dunmer (3) into Altmer, Breton, and Redguard.

I don’t think they listen THAT much. For all your examples I can probably show a counter example. (Bosmers losing stealth and the community reaction is a good start.) Just because some of the things done are the same as some forums requests feel more like a coincidence than anything.

Problems with doing anything with Bosmer

    1. They have no land left. That really makes it hard to do anything with them.
    2. Even if they wanted to do a story with Falinesti and doing the story off Nirn, it’s already in lore when Falinesti reappears so that makes it hard to write a story around it.

Despite what some say I am pretty sure that Systres Isles existed before ESO just had no info really on what was going on. A lot of islands around Tamriel with zero info. I don’t think there is one near Valenwood.

Only one real thing could save a story around Falinesti and that’s the fact that Oblivion operates outside time so you COULD save it and an NPC says something like “Well you saved us but i don’t know when we will come out. 2nd, 3rd Era. Who knows.” That was already established during the original tutorial where you saved the Prophet.

Tbh, Bosmer are well covered. I want to see Winterhold before 2050 lol. That really needs to be soon. Give me that and spells from Oblivion and Skyrim games, I’m happy

to everyone saying a Bosmer chapter would require inventing an island
    look at these maps
    436nrtmzrrdk.jpg
    a39g28vfkhab.jpg
valenwood has islands south of Greenshade. real easy to use for a bosmer chapter especially because they're not on the eso map yet.
bosmer need a chapter and more dlc. all we have is one dlc motif( Stags of Z'en ) and nothing else. it clearly doesn't have to include Falinesti however that would be great too

and Necrom is for the majority an Apocrypha chapter.

    edit to add:
    l5pa24207phq.png
the systres weren't invented for elder scrolls online. the archipelago is right there on the eltheric ocean map

Good find on that first map. So we could do a Bosmer chapter.

My guess would be that, for all the reactions over Bosmers losing stealth, there were probably some players before that who had been complaining about Bosmers' stealth for one reason or another.

The main Orc zone was an expansion zone. They only had one lil island in the base game. Same with Altmer. One island in base game, one island as an expansion.

Bosmer and Bretons had most of their areas done in the base game, so they got less room for expansions. Probably a Redguard exansion next year, that area's still got plenty of room. Black Marsh, too, but they might wait a bit more for that, since Blackwood was half Argonian.

Because they were changed from their base forms by Daedric forces just like the Khajiit were, so just like the Khajiit they get extra dlc releases.

Oh also Vvardenfell gets destroyed in the future, and we have a game that focuses on Morrowind that already takes place in the future. It's good to explore different zones.

    .

The Systres, or at least Galen, have been a part of TES lore since TES 2: Daggerfall at least. The description of Bretons stated they were descended from the druids of Galen.
Not sure about TES 1: Arena, as it's been a very long time since I played it.

No they are not. They suffer greatly from having Valenwood "filled out" with it being base game. Meanwhile anything Skyrim is extremely overdone. Some of us want to see places of Tamriel we haven't seen before, not the same boring Skyrim.

Good. Less likely we will have yet another Dark Elf content in the future...

...Now I just need to live through two Khajiiti expansions, one Redguard expansion, one Wood Elf expansion, two Imperial expansions, one Orc expansion and maybe, just maybe after 7 years in the future I will be finally able to visit the heart of the Black Marsh... maybe :'(

I would honestly be surprised if those islands were Bosmer controlled. The Bosmer aren't exactly renown for their construction of wooden ships and sailing around Nirn. Sure, they could buy, or steal, ships from others, like the Altmer, but I would still be surprised if they had any persistent claim to those islands. If it is not controlled by the Altmer, I would expect that it is a pirate island.
