Furniture Fish droping on Fish Holes makes no sense

Why does furniture fish keeps on droping in the fishing holes? And to make things worse, their drop rate is WAY higher than the trophy fish.

Seeing the ingredients you need to craft a furniture fish, it makes no sense at all to get them at a fishing hole.

I can understand the other aquatic furniture (kelp, clams, etc ) droping, but not the furniture fish.

Can't you guys trade the furniture fish for their designs? Or even better, just fix their drop rate, its insane how I get way more dead fish than live ones while fishing.

People catch fish and mount them. This just gives you the finished product. I don't see the problem myself.

The problem is their drop rate being way higher than the trophy fish.
Unless there's a mad taxidermist running around the world mounting fish and throwing them away, they should drop way less.

I was working for Master Angler at one point, and as result I have several inn rooms filled to capacity with fishy furniture.

Trophy fish? I assume you mean rare fish? The furniture fish are much rarer than the rare ones.
Yes you get plenty of stuffed fish doing master angler as its require over 100 unique rare fish probably some hundred because of duplicates.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

I keep fish in an etherial bag that only appears when I need the contents. When not open time inside the bag comes to a stop so nothing spoils or rots.
It has unlimited space but for some odd reason I can't put a necklace in it.

Now this brings back memories of Sims 3, fishing worked as an way to socialize sims and they got fish.
But the guests also got fish and it would pile up in their inventory.

Is a bag of holding with standards...

No self respecting pocket dimension would accept unfilleted fish smh my head...

The problem seems to be (once again, sigh) that achieving "master angler" is not easy enough. So he wanna see it nerfed because we play the game for the rewards after all, not for the fun playing it

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

It's because YOU are the taxidermist and you process it right there. The game just skips that step for you. ;)

I would dispute that you get more furnishing fish than rare fish, especially if you have the green cp tree "Angler's Instincts" slotted and are using Artaeum Pickled Fish Bowl food too.

I do have a reasonable pile of those furnishing fish but considering the amount of fishing I have done it nowhere near adds up to the amount of rare fish I have caught. :)

^^^ That was my theory, too. It sure beats "catching" a mount-worthy fish with a coupon stuck in its mouth for a taxidermy shop where you can go in, give them your fish and the coupon, and receive a mounted fish in return.
