I shouldn't have to do that, I mean, paying more than 100$ for a house should at least provide me with a wayshrine that I can reach easily. They should just think about that and always put a wayshrine nearby, it really isn't that hard.Necrotech_Master wrote: »could just port to outside another house near a wayshrine, or beam me up (if on pc) lol

There are some ultra cheap houses, eg the Rosy lion (?) in Daggerfall, very close to wayshrines. That one has the added advantage of using the barmen as merchants to dump your stuff. Since porting between your houses is free, in practice a wayshrine near every house is completely unnecessary.
I think, given that many houses are placed in places away from other activity, putting wayshrines near them all could well end up cluttering the world in a seemingly random way for everyone else.
Yeah, and it has nothing to do with the 70 or 140 gold, which is never the case because if you ported to your house -- you have the increased cost. The fewer loading screens the better. ZOS has definitely gotten better with this, it's usually the older houses that have this issue, going back and placing a wayshrine in some of the more problematic ones wouldn't be too hard.katanagirl1 wrote: »Having a wayshrine near the house is definitely a factor in whether I will purchase or not. Yes, you can port to another house but I think the wayshrine location should be taken into account by the devs when they design it.

Someone did make this kind of comment, I'm impressed.FantasticFreddie wrote: »I am not spending $100 for a wayshrine, I am buying a creative project to work on.

Anyway, most small/medium homes have a wayshrine nearby, obviously one wouldn't spend 100$ for a wayshrine, but I find it odd that the wayshrine wasn't even taken into account for some notable houses.

and to go along with this since you an port outside of your house for free, those remote houses can act as a free wayshrine in a sense, then you could just port to another one to return to town
this is what i usually do with 71 houses lol
I've never seen this happen in all my 8 years of playing, its only near the main city ones etc. Besides, the houses that lack wayshrines are already out in the sticks, adding one won't exactly make people swarm to duel at lakemire frigging xanmeer.I suspect many players would appreciate a notable house being off the beaten track. Who wants to exit the door of a house that cost $100 only to step into the middle of a duel at a wayshrine?

I suppose 73 gold is still a lot of coin to some people. But I don't mind paying it to avoid a few seconds of running, when necessary.
In these forums I sometimes feel like people just argue for the sake of arguing. Anyway, yeah, I don't understand why a furnishing that acts as a wayshrine isn't a thing yet, it would solve the problem completely for people living in the sticks. @ZOS_GinaBruno Can we please have this? I have seen this being suggested many times over the years.Ragnarok0130 wrote: »The gold amount is not the issue. It is the function you get from a wayshrine. Like a house has a balcony or not. These houses cost 100$. You should get all the perks for the most expensive houses.
I suggested this many times before, a wayshrine furnishing. It's not hard to do, the assets exist in the game, it's not something that needs to be invented. And those who like using Rosy Lion as a teleport, can continue doing so.
So you're actually saying that having a wayshrine furnishing where people can telelort out after visiting their homes is going to somehow make the world feel less alive? Are you seriously saying this?spartaxoxo wrote: »Wayshrines are an important gold sink and way to make the map feel alive. I don't think there should be a wayshrine furnishing.
How exactly would wayshrines become irrelevant if they placed a few ones near homes like Xanmeer or Linchal? The houses with this problem are very few, I'm not talking about literally evey house having a wayshrine right outside or something.Having wayshrines away from houses (I have every house that is available for gold and a few that are for crowns) gives me more places to port to on any given map. Making questing, doing surveys etc much easier.
Having too many wayshrines beside houses would make the wayshrines irrelevant.

This is some crazy hyperbole my man. Also, wayshrines stopped being a gold sink a few years back.
