convert 200 Transmute Crystals into personalized costumes

The idea is you pay to the outfit station 200 Transmute Crystals to take a snapshot of your current saved outfit into an inventory object that fits in the Disguise slot. It locks in whatever styles and colors you have picked out so it cannot be altered other than Hide Helm in the appearance tab. You can then trade/sell this personalized costume to other players. The receiving player does not need to have unlocked any of the styles or colors on their account to use the personalized costume. The disguise cannot be deconstructed, the spent Transmute Crystals are consumed in the process. Its a double cost to the player making the personalized costume as they must first save the outfit they wish to copy which spends gold, then pay the 200 Transmute Crystals to take the snapshot of all 7 armor slots; weapons are not included.

This lets players who have rare or limited time motifs, styles, and colors be able to sell them as a commodity to others and those who have an over-abundance of Transmute Crystals a way to spend them.

That's, not a bad idea. It creates another player market, and if the pricing wasn't outrageous it'd give people another way to wear styles without the hassle of hunting down the motif pages.

That would be a nice feature addition.
While I most likely wouldn't make use of it due to the limited ways of getting the transmute crystals, I fully support the idea.

Oooh, that's quite the unique idea, I like it! Would certainly let some people truly live and thrive in Fashion Scrolls! If it ever came to pass, I'd be tempted to use it meself, but I do also like the idea of it being my style and unique to me...decisions decisions.

In any case, I quite like this idea and would be all for it!

200 transmute crystals feel a bit steep of a price, think 50 would be more reasonable.

I could easily see myself buying an outfit off someone who has Legates black dye unlocked.

Think of it as if you were to reconstruct each slot, that would be 25x7 or 175, the final 25 crystals is to link them all together.

      Yeah 200 is probably reasonable.

Could be like a variable cost based on the item, just like some outfits require more gold to slot than others, some should require more transmutes. End result ranges from 100 transmutes to 250 transmutes max.

      Edit: Four problems here though.
      1. Run the risk of distinct characters diminishing as people are just chucking on their own store bought off the production line designer wear.
      2. This competes with the outfit slots system.
      3. The players that could afford it, probably could just afford to buy the motifs, people that cannot afford it would prob just be getting it as gifts from friends for free.
      4. I'd need to preview the item if I was to buy it, in which case I could just copy it if I liked it.

I can always use another way to burn Transmutes. I'm sitting on far too may Geodes already so this idea would be really fun.

How would such disguises be stored in the database? There would be an enormous number of combinations of colors/pieces, and each disguise would need to have an ID of some sort once it's created to distinguish it from other items in game that the players trade/sell. Even that part aside, how would you even browse these disguises in the traders' shopping widow given the sheer number of possible combinations?

on point 1, that is effectively already in the game, its the predone costumes or polymorphs

polymoprhs you cannot change colors or anything, the costumes (that mostly come form the crown store) are also the same for everyone, though if you want a personal flair you can dye those

point 4 would only work if you knew all the motifs and style pages, what if you wanted a costume in tsaeci style, but missed the opportunity to buy it from the crown store? you couldnt copy that

i dont see point 2 or 3 necessarily being problems either, you can only have 1 equipped item in the disguise slot at a time, which means you would be using your bag or bank space if you got multiple of these costumes, so still a cost (outfit slots dont take any space by comparison)

i honestly have no idea what the player market would be and how these would be valued
