150% war torte

The drop rate for the morph "chef anquitius's lost thesis" and mat "mourning dew" is way to low. I've seen 1 morph since it came out in all my pvp and trading guilds. Been farming mat all midyear mayhem so far in cyrodiil without a single mourning dew. I understand drop rate low but with 1000's of bg's and nodes and not a single drop little ridiculous.

i think its common sentiment that is one of the rarest items in the entire game, and the avg sell value is upwards 300 million

not to mention the mat to even craft it is rarer than aetherial dust

its far more economical to just use the colovian war torte 50% bonus for a fraction of the cost (the biggest cost is the recipe itself if you havent found it)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

In all my years I haven't found a single mourning dew and I've farmed Cyrodiil more than any other zone. Found a few of the war torte recipes but never once a mourning dew.

I don't play BGs enough to get an understanding of how abysmally low the drop rate of that recipe is but I can imagine it's just as bad.

I think the 50% one was the more intended one by the devs, given the rarity of the other. It's probably there as a piece of cheese on the wheel to maybe get lucky and find, but I don't see it as anything I will ever actively aim for.

Kind of similar to the Aetheric Cipher. It's awesome when it does drop, but certainly not something you ever want to expect to farm for.

Yea...I've looted 5 50%ers, converted 2 to 100%ers and read both on my main toon. Having a 100% waiting to morph for years sitting on it just frustrating.

If I EVER get this, I will be so afraid to just have in my inventory. Have to be honest, I'd use it immediately.

I still have yet to get the 100% torte recipe.

Don't spend a lot of time in PVP but did manage to get one 50% recipe. I doubt I'll ever see the 100% one and with the ingredients required for the 150% recipe, I don't care if I never see it.

the 100% recipe isnt too bad, its actually just a lot of tel var grinding since you need 500k AP to buy the item to turn the 50% recipe into the 100% recipe

the hard part is in order to learn all 3 recipes, you need to buy the 500k tel var item twice (once to make and learn the 100% recipe, and then again to make another 100% recipe that you can upgrade to the 150% recipe)

if i get enough tel var for the 500k item ill buy it and just keep it around until i get another 50% recipe to upgrade, but i doubt ill ever craft it lol

The regular torte is fine. Just make sure to keep your supply of oranges in check and download something like Stendarr to help you keep track of the timer.

Honestly, there have been way too many times that short 30 minute timer runs out and I don't realize it until after we've taken the keep. Tracking is really important for that... and for that matter the Event Scroll as well. As for investing into the level 2 or level 3 recipes, its really major time consuming and expensive. I'm just not certain its even worth it when if you just put a little more time into your PvP schedule and proper use of the regular torte you'll have enough AP.

Regarding the mourning dew, I've found 3x of these so far although not at all when I was looking for it. Also, beware that is a buyer's market so if you find some and choose to sell, even though its an exclusive item you may not always find the buyer that you want. Its better to hold on to any you find, watch the market and ask around to see if any guilds or streamers or players planning to run for Emp, anyone like that might pay you well for it, that is to say IF they can even use the recipe.

So this is kind of a weird and unforgiving corner of the game. :) Be careful what decisions you make as you could win big or lose big.

The War Torte recipes don't help with pushing for Emp as they only increase the amount of XP that you earn towards your PvP Rank on a given character. They're really only useful for ranking up.

Which is fine by me, never been emp and probably never will be, but I'll use anything that can assist with the huge AP farm to reach rank 50. My highest rank is 32 and that's not even halfway there as far as required AP goes.

This event is a the only way to go if you're pushing to get to five star. Otherwise, it just takes FOREVER!

I've seen people selling them in zone chat for 1K each pretty much non-stop during this event. Gotta make hay while the sun's shining!

it must be me then, ive spent way too much time in IC lol

i lost track of how much time i spent and tel var earned at this point, but ive at minimum bought all storage chests with tel var, all of the direct buy gear with tel var, all of those tel var only style pages, all 3 xivkyn polymoprhs (spent about 90k on those from superb imperial rewards and bought at least 1 of the polymorph boxes to sell), and probably a couple hundred tel var filling out the monster shoulders and other gear boxes for collections lol

i dont even do the pvp in IC that often, just tel var farming in the sewers

Oh ok. So the CP bonus does nothing but prov line increase the duration. I will look at all of that again. Thanks

yeah the cp, if you read it, says it only works for food that buffs your stats, the war torte technically does neither lol

provisioning passives, or being redguard (redguard racial passive gives +15 minutes to eaten food) will work for the war torte

By the time you find and get that 150% recipe you would not need it. Like others have pointed out, the base 50% version is the only practical one, if you even get lucky enough to find that.
