LOL, I started playing Morrowind for the first time only a few months ago, and my first reaction upon hearing the sounds my character made when taking enemy hits was [snip]. It was simply awful!SilverBride wrote: »I wouldn't mind it so much if they didn't all sound like wounded animals.

But you can already? There's 3 settings iirc - 'always', 'sometimes' (default) and never. Somewhere in settings.
My main is a female Dunmer (not sure which voice). And when she heavy attacks she always yells "Craaaig!". Who exactly is this Craig fellow and why is she always yelling his name. I sure wish I would've known during character creation that she was already involved...
Only a cruel soul would deprive me of this:

Especially when during character creation, you don't know exactly all the annoying ways they grunt, groan and wail until AFTER you've already made a voice selection and started playing. After all the years I've played, I now have a list of all voices for each gender and race that are the least annoying for me.
I love when you fall off a cliff with your char and the scream comes 10 seconds after you fell lol
I also have a special disdain for some personalities that make you scream, huff, or sob uncontrollably when I just want a quiet mood from them.

I am very excited about the Arcanist as I have not made a new character in some time. But I have spent around two hours on the PTS trying to find an imperial voice that doesn't drive me bonkers. They are all terrible. After all these years I still can't play ESO with the sound effects on because of the constant "ARGGHHH" and "AHHHHH" during combat.
I thought I finally found a voice that I could somewhat tolerate, but the constant "YAAAHHH" when mounted was quite irritating.
I really want to enjoy the sound effects of this game, but I absolutely cannot listen to them with the never ending character grunts and moans. @ZOS_Kevin please throw this one on the pile of QOL suggestions.
