Alliance ranks

During the pvp i came across the list of pvp ranks.

Since i play on several characters i wonder if the alliance points i earn are summarized for the titles like major, centurion and so or if it is way better to just pvp on one char?

The ranks are per character, not shared.

due to account wide achievements the titles are shared, but the ranks are still per character

you get a rank title/symbol change every 2 ranks and a skill point for every rank
