Asia Server

ESO seriously needs to make an Asia server. In some parts of the world the game is so laggy its unplayable.

Please don't come into this thread offering GPN advice. They don't work. And congratulations if you're from a region with a dedicated server and it "sucks for you too", that's cool. Just more proof that ESO is incapable of supporting its players.

If you're tired of lag in the AsiaPacific area, then complain about it. No one is going to change anything for the better if you pretend you're okay with trash performance. We are paying customers receiving faulty goods. Quit rolling over.

As someone who plays from Asia (and has to use a VPN to even make the game remotely playable - https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/626423/se-asia-players-get-errors-108-200-334-and-increased-ping-on-pc-since-jan-25), I don’t think it will ever happen. There are simply not enough players to support a dedicated Asia/Oceanic server. NA and EU servers are both practically dead outside the prime time hours for those regions of the world.

And also, ZOS has stayed silent on the topic in the thread that I’ve linked for months. The region doesn’t have a big enough customer base for them to invest resources or time, it seems.

Playing in Australia, I see people complaining about lag they say is bad, but I wish I could get. I think 120 is as low as I've ever gotten. Been mostly between about 240 and 340 these last few months.

I'd like to see an Asian server, then I could nag my JP and KR friends to buy the game so we can enjoy it together and hang out.

It is a huge potential market to tap into.

Lots of money to be made Zos :)

(It would also be a huge investment to make it happen.)

Western MMOs aren't as popular in the east, and the game would require a ton of regulation and censorship to be allowed in China. So it's unlikely.

With the fallout of WoW in China, I expected to see a huge boost from that market.

Elder scrolls is not wuxia, it would not get many fans.
Also it is not as much p2w as asians would hope.

Far east time zone very need. But I don't want to lost my characters and story history of NA server.
So, maybe I'll stay in NA server forever.
    My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.
    I have [1Tough tank] [1StamSorc-DD] [1Necro-DD] [1Real Healer]
    with [1Stam Blade].
But, I'm Tank main player. Recently I'm doing Healer.

PS NA is still pretty busy during non prime time hours.

An Asia server wouldn't be subject to Chinese regulations, just like WoW has an Asia server and has an enormous amount of Chinese players. Chinese players are already playing ESO anyway..
