Earthen Root Enclave last boss

Hello.
Basically i have a problem to block the last bosses hits...
I have a tank char that runs fine everything I have nearly 80% block mitigation and 50% proc ressistances . A Stam-Tank.
In the videos i see tanks stand there just chilling and blocking everything .. If do block at full stamina and poped shied he just hits thru me like chesse.
If i roll-dodge it works and just move away, but everyone is just yelling to stand still..... Immposible because red dots and aoes..
If we pass this stage then he turns into bear.. all goes well till he has this breath atack (see foto).. I simply pop up my shields and my ultimate shield,block AND I DIE......
Get masscarated . And everyone blames me. I have Gaze of sithis ( undertakers and leeching plate , with high resistances hevy and in divines.....)
Help me to git gud... No shiting plz. If Your willing to help me , we could talk it out in discord with you or here in comments

Take off Gaze of Sithis. You have no block mitigation while wearing that. Block mitigation runs from 50% (naked) to 80% and beyond on a tank build. This stacks (multiplicatively) with your armor and other mitigation buffs. It is by far the single biggest mitigation factor. Gaze of Sithis removes that factor. Can't wear that set on a tank.

That may be the problem. Gaze of Sithis reduces block mitigation to 0, entirely negating your block. edit: fred, you beat me to it, your post didn't show up for me until after I had posted!

Yeah, I saw Gaze of Sithis and knew immediately that was the problem.

Ohhhhhh......... MY god... Thank you for responses.. SO as far i understood Gaze nullifies my blockability? Is that right?
Thank you.. I will try without it. Some people told me it would help me to repel more incomming damage....

Yes, it does. Shouldn't use it on a tank at all, if someone told you to do that they're wrong. You can reach resistance cap pretty easily on a tank and the ability to block is a necessity, as you've found out.

Yeah. It's also an ingredient for health regen builds. If you're in CP and choose to manage your ulti-level, meaning sorc Overload basically, you can still build for some serious health regen, e.g. 4K in PvP / 8K in PvE without too many compromises. This involves Sithis, Endurance back bar, Strategic Reserve CP, gold food, potion, some heavy armor, and (sorc) passives. Possibly Eternal Vigor, I forget. A dodge rolling sorc has the mobility to make this work (and can use the health regen), yet I don't really rate that kind of build. I tried it once. Block is such a massive thing to give up, especially when your habits lean towards blocking or a mixture of blocking and rolling.

Heads up for everyone helping out, All is well now and now i have improved some of gear and got helped by a Tankie stemplar... Everything is possible now...
