[REQUEST] Add natural daylight lighting to outfit stations

Often we find outfit stations inside houses with very bad lighting conditions which makes it very difficult to judge the appearance of colors. So I think it would help a lot to have a daylight lighting source installed to the place where players stand when changing their outfit.

Why requesting daylight lighting source inside a house, if we have a free choice of outfit stations outside or inside homes. There are some nice outside spots like Evermoore Bangkorai for example.
I believe that bad lightning inside houses serves it's purpose - we can verify how character will be looking in various questing environments, mostly when quests happens inside buildings.

    Simple:
    1) Not everyone will have a home or will want to buy an outfit station
    2) We have a lot of bling bling on mounts. So why not have LOCALLY at an outfit station some lamps that provide enough light to somewhere where any person would naturally put some extra light source. Or would you place your mirror for your morning styling in a dark room with only some candle light?
    3) There is always the possibility to activate this lighting only during the outfit modification view while using the outfit station which would hence be invisible to anyone not using the outfit station.

I never use the outdoors outfit stations, there's always too much stuff going on and also I often end up on the wrong end of the day/night and weather cycle.

So I really like this suggestion of an inbuilt daylight source that is active when interacting with the station in my home, so that it can be properly functional without interfering with my home's mood lighting.

There should be a toggle that transports the player character to the same environment that is used for previewing furnishings.

A combination of a home with an outside area and the item that can change the time of day (can't remember the name, new thing that just came out last year, bad TBI day) is a temp workaround to this issue.

But yeah, having a lighting feature on the outfit station is so obvious it's painful.

Some outfit stations are already outside, which of course means they get natural light.

Ones I remember are Evermore in Bankorai, Alinor in Summerset, Belkarth in Craglorn, Stros M'Kai and Abah's Landing in Hew's Bane. All but two of those are base game areas everyone has access to and I'm sure there's more.

Of course there's no guarentee it will be daytime or good weather when you go there, but that can be useful too because it's not always going to be good weather in the game.

I wouldn't want all the outfit stations to have bright, artifical lighting, but maybe 1 could. Whenever someone has recommend me a player home with a "well lit" outfit station I've found it's so blindingly bright it's unusable and not remotely representative of anything you'll find anywhere else in the game, so it's not useful for me.

But I think the current system works well, we've got outfit stations in towns and cities with a mix of indoor and outdoor ones and different lighting setups, and players can place their own in a house and arrange the lighting however they want for their own preferences.

It does seem strange that there isn't settings both in the outfit station and the character creation, to toggle indoor/outdoor lighting, and for the outdoor lighting have a time of day slider.

After a time spent in FF14, it does seem terribly primitive.

Reminds me of some of the horrors I used to create in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

Agreed. It’s happened to me a lot. Pick a color that looks good, get outside and looks like a completely different color.
