No, this isn't your simple "I am bad at the game so gimme X" post. Just a QoL update request and a personal want...

Jewellery should drop in all traits
I feel its about time that we start getting Jewellery dropping in other traits now. To begin with, having the way it currently is was fine because it made it a grind to get it. However, that was introduced 5 years ago. Now, all people have to do is go to a Guild Trader and buy it, thus you don't need to work for them anymore. You can get every other piece of equipment dropping in different traits, it only makes sense to allow Jewellery to do it as well now.

Bring back Unique Named Drops
Bring back unique items dropping in Dungeons and Overland, and also introduce it for Trials as well (I know you can get unique items from quests still). Don't get me wrong, the stickerbook is the best thing to happen to this game for a long long time. However, some people enjoy the grind of getting drops. It would just be something nice for those who want it, which doesn't effect everyone.

I'll add a caveat to the unique drop idea

Allow us to reconstruct uniquely named items

The core reason I ask for this is because I know people who run a single character, and they cannot or will not "just roll another character to get the drop". Yes, they can buy it at gear cap from a Guild trader (if they can find it), but that's a bit of a hassle when you are looking for a specific item. Giving us this access to uniquely named items would allow someone to keep using pieces of equipment that they like for thematic reasons (especially the uniques that aren't part of any set) and give them the same flexibility as crafted and reconstructed items when it comes to traits.

Yes, but some people enjoy the grind of getting the items in the desired trait. This doesn't harm anybody.

To transmute you have to know the trait, ATM Bloodthisty trait is too expensive on the market, and 2x price on NA compared to EU

I think you can still get unique named drops. Like they are moved into another loot pool not to interrupt curated drops, which allows you to always get the regular drop and a named drop if you are lucky.

Unique named drops... like the Werewolf Hide Wolf's-Head Ring? These still drop. I agree that it'd be nice to recreate them, too.

This wouldnt be classified as a QoL update for myself, we have enough RNG in this game without adding to it anymore.

100% on trait drops, though completely indifferent to named items.

As a H main, with far too many sets upon my person, I find names items slightly inconvenient when switching between bosses etc and having a names item from a set tends to throw me off a little. It’s entirely my issue, but when I’m on the clock I want to find things quickly & in the interest of this, uniformity wins the day.

I'm all for all traits dropping. I'm currently in the middle of building a new build and it's just such a waist of time to have to transmute jewellery. I'm out of crystals so having to farm them in the PVP campaigns on a few toons I hardly ever play is not a fun task simply to change traits.

The unique named drops are exactly like the normal version just named “x” instead say frost staff of prayer. Allowing us to rename weapons/items would be sufficient.

i would really like if you could get more jewelry traits outside of specific activities

jewelry is still one of the absolutely most painful crafts for multiple reasons
    • traits still only drop doing certain activities (thus increasing cost cause of artificial scarcity)
    • trait materials and tempers have unrefined versions which is not like any other craft (also increasing cost cause you need 10x the quantity)

jewelry is already still locked behind a former chapter (summerset) so you already cant do the crafting at all if you dont have eso+ or bought that chapter dlc, and i understand when it came out they didnt want any "old" jewelry to be deconstructible to give everyone an equal start
    plays PC/NA

    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I think the problem with renaming items would be the same as naming characters. You've gotta come up with a unique name every time. Those would run out quick, whereas letting us reconstruct the stuff that is already uniquely identified in game wouldn't cause as many issues.

    1) ZOS doesn't want to devalue jewelry crafting and that's why things won't change.

You can, sorry I should have made it more clear. They stopped doing this for DLC Dungeons and DLC Overland ages ago. The only way to get any unique named item now is via quests. It was also never added to Trials.
Unique named drops... like the Werewolf Hide Wolf's-Head Ring? These still drop. I agree that it'd be nice to recreate them, too.

    See above :)

Not sure about the option to recreate them. In order to recreate them it would mean adding it to the curated drop system via the stickerbook, which would defeat the point of the rarity of the unique item names.

That is why you are able to get both. Having a unique named item doesn't remove the original item from the game. One is just a lot harder to get than the other.
The unique named drops are exactly like the normal version just named “x” instead say frost staff of prayer. Allowing us to rename weapons/items would be sufficient.

I disagree with this heavily. You won't be able to rename an item and show it off as the server won't be able to show that. Yes, you could code it in, but it could become a nightmare.
    1) ZOS doesn't want to devalue jewelry crafting and that's why things won't change.

Doing this won't devalue jewellery crafting, and it is already super cheap to complete - just time consuming. If you're worried about trait items being devalued, the best thing to do is rather than have a chance of giving the full trait item, have it give a chance to drop the material to craft the trait item instead. You can also protect things like Triune by not adding them to the drop table.
