Awesome voice actor (Necrom Prologue)

I recognized that it's the same voice actor for Hermaeus Mora as in Skyrim.

He did a great job in the Prologue. There were a few points where his voice changes to something that sounded sinister and evil.
The way his voice morphs is cool. Makes me look forward to the Necrom story.

Def was wondering if it was him. He definitely is doing the voice different than the way he did it in Skyrim. He’s doing a more classic demon voice this time and not that slurred / uncanny voice we are used too. But it sounded like wes in the overall tone but than I knew he didn’t do the voice in eso prior so I wasn’t sure if it was him or not.

    It sure is him!

But yes, the voice is subtly different from Skyrim. Not that different though IMO, having recently watched a clip from Dragonborn to refresh my memory.

The tone is there but the effect isn’t. The slurred warbled thing he did with his voice he’s not doing anymore. Definitely is going for a more sinister demonic thing this time Around.

Maybe I’ll try and make a video clip I can share with people comparing side by side unless someone else has done it?

It's possible the warbled effect was some kind of post-processing thing they did for Skyrim but they didn't do here. I actually think he sounds less sinister this time around.

    If anyone wants a comparison:
    Skyrim mora:

    Eso mora:

After listening the difference is even more so than I thought.

I think it's pretty much the same, in terms of tone and delivery (a tad less slurred) but the Skyrim version definitely had some reverb going on that they didn't add this time, for whatever reason.

He talks about it in the elder scrolls lore cast:
Basically said he does this clicks with his voice and etc I think he said they added a reverb to his voice but the slurred speech was all his voice and not an effect.

As for sinister I think he sounds more otherworldly and uncanny in Skyrim and here he sounds more like a cliche “bad guy” if that makes sense. Not that he sounds more sinister to me but the cliche of what “sinister” is in the main stream.

It’s more than reverb. He had a slur to his speech.
    And less inflection.

Here he goes up and down with his infections and adds in clarity and the slur.

Before it was just this other worldly slurred strange way of speaking now it sounds more like he’s trying tj sound like a more “grounded” character and goes into the strange sounds when his mood changes based on what he is saying.

But In Skyrim it wasn’t just reverb it was the way he does the voice he talks about how he does it in the lore cast and even does it live and they use it in their podcast. intros. Reverb doesn’t add a slur to someone’s speech pattern…

I agree he sounds more otherworldly in Skyrim, and more mundane now (partly due to the reverb being gone). I actually prefer the Skyrim version, Mora needs that threatening eldritch horror edge.

He does actually change inflections in Skyrim too. Less, but he does it. Listen to the bit in Dragonborn when he first introduces himself to the player. He does do it more now though.

He slurs less too, yes - perhaps because they thought that with a larger speaking role, it would make it difficult for people to understand what he was saying? IDK

True I think also the slurred speech (please listen to the lore cast with him in it )

    https://youtu.be/ZKf5HEQ9tC4

He talked about how he did all the voices and definitely you can hear the naked voice without reverb and still tell it’s the slur in his speech and the clicks he does with his tongue it’s no effects the reverb adds to it but that’s like saying Hendrix guitar playing isn’t impressive without reverb on it you know ?

For whatever reason. They had him tone it down and it doesn’t sound as otherworldly / interesting feels watered down.

I guess at least one could argue that the slight change in speech is an Era difference. It's odd to me that the Princes stay relatively the same throughout the Eras when they're shapeshifters.

    Mora hasn’t shifted his shape.
Not to mention the prior voice actor did the voice more similar to how Wes used to do the voice.

Mora has always been the same octopus blob looking thing since Daggerfall inception.

As much as I love the voice performance was kinda weird, some accents and almost breaking into "...kill Rufio..." moments were timed... Strangely. Hope that's just me and upcoming lines would be as flawless as always.

Wes is an amazing guy and I am SO happy he can play Herma again, we've exchanged plenty of tweets and DM's and he's just insanely kind & talented.

He should have been Sheogorath in ESO too.

Was announced way back at the Necrom event but it was kinda obvious as every years it's always next Monday after "in depth" global event, nothing changes here.
