Mostly just throwing knives, but could also work with handaxes and hammers.
Has both physical and Magical elements to it.
A] Throw Style - Heavy Attack
1) Spin self and Fan
2) Charge and double toss
3) Flip knife/object or spin in hand then toss
B] Mix of Magic and Physical
- Toss knives (objects) into the air and they will hover around you. These are used for other abilities.
Using knives
- Passive: The knives hover around you granting a 1% chance per knife to intercept incoming ranged attacks
- Upon interception, the knife is destroyed, and possibly more as well.
- Balancing: knives can block up to 2k ranged damage, and to block more they unite together, destroying as many as needed to mitigate as much ranged damage as possible, 1% chance per knife so as not to break it
- Passive: Hovering knives grant a 5% chance per knife to deal damage to nearby enemies - or more a visual thing than a chance
- Visual Version: If an enemy is close and a hovering/flying knife hits them, they take damage.
- Either way, on hit there is a chance that it deals half damage and continues flying, a chance that it sticks to the target, and a chance that it falls to the ground.
- Sticking Knives: stick to wooden shields, leather armor, and cloth armor, as they penetrate into those. These are used in some abilities, magical abilities.
- Bouncing Knives: Bounce off Magical shields like damage shields and off Heavy Armor, then then fall to the ground
- Grounded Knives: Used in magical abilities.
Physical Abilities (Stamina)
- Fan of Knives
- Deals damage per knife in a cone. Knives may pierce through or stop on target. Damage Shields have higher chance of stopping knives. Heavy Armor also has greater chance of stopping knives. Shield has the greatest chance of stopping knives. Heavy armor and a Shield almost guarantee the knives stop there. This is what the target wields not the caster.
- Coat with Poison: add poison damage to all throwing knife abilities, light attacks, and heavy attack for a duration. May also increase chance to activate poisons equipped.
- Knife Burst: summon a flurry of knives in your hands then let then out all around you, 360 degree radius, 16 knives summoned minimum
Magical Abilities (Magicka)
- Knife Volley
- Turn flying knives into projectile knives. These knives might be destroyed on hit, but are more likely to stick or fall to the ground. Fall chance is based on these: Heavy Armor and Damage Shield. Shield equipment increases chance to stick, especially when they are blocking, as the knives will stick to the wooden shield. Similar to Fan of Knives.
- Knife Toss
- Toss knives into the air to summon flying knives for other abilities.
- Electrocute Knives
- Heavy magic cost, increasing by 1%-5% per knife effected. Knives channel electricity or lightning and deal damage within 2 meters around them periodically. They link to knives within 3-5 meters of them dealing a much stronger damage along the beam. For flying knives, the beams generated almost prevent you from being stuck without the opponent taking damage as well. 5% chance per beam between flying knives that a ranged magical effect will be intercepted without harming your knives. This ability may destroy knives when it ends, 5-25% chance per knife effected.
- Detonate Knives
- Ground Knives and sticky knives (and knives bouncing to ground status) Explode dealing damage around them in one burst. These knives are then destroyed.
- Retrieve Knives
- has 3 effects
- Target: deal damage per knife as you retrieve your knives from the target and return them to flying status
- Tap, no target: Cone, all knives in the cone are retrieved. If any targets in cone they suffer damage per knife, though less that if they were manually targeted as you are less focused in hurting them and more focused on retrieving knives.
- Held: retrieve all knives in a radius at higher cost. Like conal, deals less damage than targeted tap if retrieving from targets around you.
- The damage caused is minuscule, about 500 per knife on targeted and 250 per knife from cone or area. Maybe less.
Ultimate: kind of like a giant volley. "Wall of Knives."
- Summon a wall of knives preventing foes on the other side from targeting you, then lease them all upon them. The wave deals about 1k-2k damage per knife and combined deals over 500k damage (250+ knives). More potent vs Larger entities as they have a larger hitbox and suffer more hits from it. These knives will be destroyed if you electrocute or detonate them. Some can be retrieved but You may hit a limit of flying knives and extras won't be picked up or will fall at your feet.
Overall, the damage scaling of the knives is supposed to be low but many.
Hammers always fall to the ground.
Handaxes/Tomahawks have less chance of sticking but can still stick.
Knives always stick except for certain materials: Heavy Armor or Magic Shields.
