Been following ESO before it was released, played during beta, pre-ordered the physical imperial edition of the game for launch, immediately ditched WoW with a group of about ~30 friends to fight for the Pact in ESO. Loved the early experience (I don't get why so many people are negative about it). I especially preferred level-gated zones and actually finding overland content to be a challenge.

Grew frustrated and quit around the time they changed from the mandatory subscription model, but was coaxed back to join by fond tales from friends of the UO-like risk versus reward dynamic of Imperial City. So far, no other modern MMO has challenged ESO for its crown, so I'm still here. That said, 2022 was a particularly bad time due to goddawful patches, dreadful design and development decisions, and bugs that should never have been allowed to be deployed live, let alone remain live for months without a fix.

In the beginning, I made my way through all of the Pact quests, then completed Cadwell's silver and gold. I pvp'd, back when Cyrodiil had a healthy population, a large cap, and actual wildlife. (It's a delight to go back in now and not have even the slightest hint of performance issues - I'm on PC EU and the impact of the server upgrade is amazing.) I remember grinding veteran ranks on repeatable quests in Cyrodiil. I had a group to do the four person Craglorn content with. I have completed every trial and dungeon on vet, with many hard modes too. I have led every trial on vet as well :)

My goals are to keep at it and enjoy playing with my friends, and hope the devs keep creating trials like vDSR, that has been a real pleasure to play through and work through. I look forward to new group content, and I love tanking. I hope they never add an aoe taunt, that would be a huge mistake and undermine the joy of being a good tank as it stands now. One day, I'd actually like to hit rank 50 in pvp. My /played on my main character is 186 days.

I really can't be bothered with housing, it's fiddly, woefully inadequate and frustrating - what's the point of a house if you can only put items in a few designated storage boxes, and any other furniture that ought to be able to hold items can't? I can't even put the 'treasures' that ZoS spam my backpack with on display. Not to mention pitiful item limits in large houses.
For an awesome housing system, please refer to UO.

Started playing when the game first released on Xbox. Absolutely loved it. Favorite moment was the first time I linked up with a massive group taking a keep in cyrodiil. Couldn't believe how many people were participating in the battle. Had an absolute blast with it. But I also haven't played now in a year and a half because of... Well, ZOS generally being ZOS. Too many reasons to list out but IYKYK. I still follow and keep up with the game because I still love it and an holding out hope that one day they finally get their crap together and start listening to the community.

Apprehensively joined ESO in 2014 after exhausting all TES content I could find, but wanting more. Slowly slipped into meta-chasing, raiding and relatively hardcore pvp for a few years, before getting exhausted from it all, and returning to what I actually love about the game: being in the world, and having a character who's part of that world, and who's story continues.

Some of my happiest moments were well-fought for trial and dungeon achievements, but my most contented are riding through the world, doing dailies here and there, maybe peacefully farming mats in the beautiful scenery, looking at the moons or the aurorae and wondering what's just over those mountains.

What makes my character special? I think that its pretty cool I have a lot of the most sought-after PvE and PvP achievements. I know it sounds cheesy but more substantial to me, personally, is my character's just raw heritage (almost 9 years of story), and that they have a sort of backstory that speaks to a little part of the world (northern Bangkorai).

I don't have my perfect home in my favourite part of the world yet- I don't know if that's a "goal" per se. because I can't really work towards it (except to hoard furniture and continue waiting), but its probably the most important thing to me. Other than that? Honestly, just persisting. Exploring the story and the world as it unfolds.

I joined in February 2020 right before the Pandemic. My goal was to start and GM a Roleplaying guild, which I did and that guild is still going today (under a new GM as I have been taking a break). Really happy to see after 3 years it's still around.

Most of my time has been spent roleplaying and buying/furnishing housing. Due to this, I've spent way more cash than I'd like to admit on this game given how most cosmetics are in crown crates. That said I have enjoyed my time greatly from a RP standpoint.

When not Roleplaying and dealing with writing backstories for my characters and furnishing homes, I do like to do the quests to learn as much lore as possible. I also created story-groups for dungeons so we can get the lore from them too and listen to dialogue without rushing. I've completed the AD Base Game storyline, Morrowind, Summerset, Skyrim, the first half of Blackwood and the first half of High Isle. I would like to finish Galen and do Elsewyr at some point, Clockwork City, Wrothgar, and the new expansion.

    (patch days can be brutal)

A few days ago I woke up from an afternoon nap to find that I had turned into a poisonous monster! It must be the work of the Mad God. Who else would do such a thing!

As you well know, my skill in channelling the Earth Bones to conjure rock and flame has always been my greatest pride and joy. Well, that hare-brained nincompoop of a daedric Prince has turned it all against me.

Now, whenever I try to breathe fire, nothing but a cloud of the most noxious poison shoots out of my mouth. My breath is so rank that it literally corrodes armour!

And it has just ruined my manicure! So much poison seeps out from beneath my fingernails now that it splashes across the room if I wave my hand sharply.

But that is not the worst of it.

When that smokeskin slimeball Felvyn noticed my foul smelling breath he started calling me "Licks Her Six", and the name has just sort of stuck. Now, everyone is calling me that. I would die of shame, but like I told you, I cannot die now.

With a name like that hanging round my neck I fear I will never be able to attract a nest-mate. What a waste it was spending all those crowns on a wedding dress.

    Why is it always me?!

Sticking to the prompts as I felt they encompassed a lot:

    What's your favorite moment eso?

A very random moment actually. I was doing Vet Cradle of Shadows for the first time and after the group I was with spent quite a long time bashing our heads against the dungeon, we seemingly got stuck on the Dranos fight.

The group kept dying, and we were about to give up and move on. I think it was a PUG group so our patience was thin. On this last attempt, with like 250K health left on the boss, the rest of the group died.

I carried on, and this was 5 years ago, so DPS wasn't where it is now, and then the pin mechanic hit, and I hat 100K left on the boss, alone. Well, the exact moment the pin mechanic hit, my Illambrid proc went off. I had just enough AOE down + the proc, that the damage was able to kill the shade before the mechanic could kill me. Got up, finished the boss, then we finished that dungeon.

    What's your goals in eso?

Currently, I am working through both Grand Overlord on my Main, as well as collecting every set piece for the stickerbook. "Only" 30M AP left to get the first goal. Unfortunately, I think I have collectively earned enough AP for like 3 Grand Overlords on my account across 18 characters. And quite a ways through trials, and repeated maelstrom runs, to complete the second.

Have you finished decorating in housing in eso?

I've done a few here and there. Built a monstrous Zoo one year for a halloween housing contest. Have a little Christmas cottage I built for a Christmas decoration contest.

Currently working on an Art Museum build in Proudspire Manor.

How long have you been playing?

I started playing on Black Friday, 2016. I was actually driving back from vacation and got a notification from Xbox that there was a free trial. Downloaded it to my Xbox from the road and started my Main character that same night.

I started playing the game during beta. I’ve played the Elder Scrolls series since Morrowind, and it was pretty formative for me, so it’s only natural that I play ESO.

I initially played on PC, but only to like level 22 I think. I found it hard to make sense of all the systems and rewards, alongside PC hardware issues, I just decided to quit.

I came back when it launched on consoles. Some friends wanted to play it on xbox, so I bought a console to play with them. They eventually quit, primarily because it was very hard to group together at that time, but I kept going. I played a templar through Summerset era, getting to CP 340ish. I eventually lost interest in the game, not for any particular reason, and stopped playing.

I came back to the game in 2019 but on PSN. My main gaming crew is there, and I wanted to chat with them while I play, so I started over there. I’ve been there ever since.

Eventually I would create my initial batch of toons, trying out all classes. Having played Templar for so long on Xbox, I thought I should have a new main on PSN. Started with Sorcerer, but fell in love with Warden and settled there.

I’ve taken some breaks here or there. Most breaks have been because I get burned out either by bugs or how ZOS represents themselves, others have been because I genuinely was in a lull or just decided to play other stuff. I always come back though.

Right now, I am just working on some alts, finishing up their skill lines and such, trying to get my money out of them. I’m not really focused on group activities at the moment, but I’ll come back around. Just enjoying the slow paced lifestyle of the single player experience.

I’m cautiously awaiting the next expansion, hopefully it is an improvement for the game.

I started playing late 2016, according to my first achievement, "Defeated by Slaughterfish." I had played Skyrim before, and it's probably my favorite game ever. I had bad memories of Everquest (admittedly 15 years prior) but the fact that there was no subscription fee and the package, which at the time included Imperial Ciry and Orsinium, was very reasonably priced so I decided to take the chance. I did become a subscribed eventually and stayed so for quite a long time, though I am currently on a break from it.

There were a lot of great moments in the game but the one I am most proud of as far as personal achievement was defeating the Planar Inhibitor in White Gold Tower after the rest of the group died. It was low on health, but so was I, but I managed it. I was told "nice clutch" which I had no idea what it meant at the time, but I got the gist of it.

Don't have any goals per se, just to keep enjoying it until I don't any more.

I've decorated my normal size houses, but the Psijic Villa still has a lot of empty space inside. I find that I enjoy decorating outdoors more than indoors, I guess because things don't have to be so precise. I also just like placing plants about. Maybe I should have gone into landscaping.

I don't think anything makes my character special but she is good looking!

I started playing with the Summerset release. I would have joined at the beginning but I started creating mods for Skyrim and that became a whole addiction.

I love all my characters for various role play reasons but my main character and her sister has a huge story that I was working on; I even planned an elder scrolls lore type of YouTube video for it. I had created lorebook pages too. Sadly I suffered a computer crash and lost all of that work. 😭 😭 😭

I don't have any goals in ESO. I plan to think of a new character to make when the arcanist class comes out. Maybe I'll make the father or the mother of my main character who made a deal with a daedric prince. Originally it was Calivicus Vile but maybe I'll change it to Heraeus Mora. That's pretty much the only reason I'm still playing.

I started playing when the Morrowind chapter was released. I wanted to see if the landscape and architecture resembled TES3 and was thrilled to see that it did. I was also really happy to see that the lore was respected too.

The first character I created was a templar. I had no idea what I was doing and after playing for around a year, I moved on. I'm not sure when I came back (2018 or 2019, I think), but I decided to try a warden and that's when ESO hooked me. I've been playing the warden as my main ever since.

My goal: I enjoy questing and exploring the most. Given that ESO is moving to one drop per year for story content (I don't care about the dungeon content in Q1), I might finally take a break this year because I'll run out of stuff to do. I'll see. If the arcanist grabs me, maybe I'll continue playing. For now, I'm still having fun.

I tried ESO in the beta but, it ran poorly on my system and I wasn't too into it so I decided against subbing.

I bought the game shortly after it stopped being sub-based.

I quit after somewhere around a year because I found I wasn't have much fun with a lot of the content.

I rejoined the game with Morrowind and had a blast with it but, I ended up quitting shortly after buying Summerset because I didn't end up getting into it and had burned through all of the Morrowind stuff that I liked multiple times.

I rejoined again a bit before High Isle and played catch up with the content I missed and I forced myself to do some of the content I skipped.

Presently, I'm just doing events and waiting for Necrom to hit the PTS. At the present I'm leaning towards not buying it and taking a year or so off ESO but, it could be better than I expect. As a side project I've been working on making up some new skill lines and a new class so I'm curious to see what the Arcanist will be like.

My favorite ESO moments were probably:

The first time I did the Public Dungeon Event in the Forgotten Wastes.

When I got the Sixth House Robe

Soloing the White Gold Tower Dungeon

Healing Beexilko and having him fight back

Every time I try housing I end up deciding that I don't have enough money to finish so I don't bother. I've got like a dozen empty homes from the times when I thought I was going to do it this time and then decided against it.

I would say none of my 13 characters are special to me at this point. I find that the demands of questing/Dungeons/PvP tend to leave my characters in positions where I dislike them either because of the actions they've committed or because the choices in the name of optimization have moved them away what my original vision for them was.

I believe I got into eso around the end of morrowind starting into summerset.

My goal is to have fun and take in more lore.

My character is modeled after my cat who passed away 2 years ago. I of course made the new character around when she started to get sick with kidney failure. This is my way to keep her memory going. Which is why I have a hard time doing Alts I want to focus on more styles but I can’t let her go get even if it’s her likeness in a game.

I decorated the sugar bowl suite 🙂
A modest apartment in rimmen, close to everything I need. The hall of the lunar champion makes me anxious too much space too much to decorate. It’s not really my thing but impressive when others do it. I’ll just visit my guild halls and enjoy those.

I've been here since the game's beta.

My goal was only just to to add on to my ongoing Elder Scrolls story with my adventures in the 2nd era. That has remained true, and ESO has been a boon in that regard.

Of course, I now have two guar reserves displaying a collection I have been maintaining since before the launch of Summerset. My goal is to eventually complete that collection, and to that end my mount collections is currently up-to-date. The pet collection is not, but that's currently outside of my control.

I have many characters. Each has their own backstories, but all of them are part of a greater, connected story. I try to make them distinct as best I can with collectibles and sets, but work is still ongoing.

I started playing ESO to have something to do during the Winter when farming is not busy. Then quickly became very invested into the story lines. I spent maybe the first 6 months only doing solo quest content. Then I joined my first couple guilds, and the community was amazing.

When I got sick, and eventually bedridden for a while, ESO became my escape and way to leave the house. I made many close friends over the last six years, started my own guild (twice), and really enjoyed all the different ways to play.

My favorite moments have been when getting a trifecta in any content. The rush and excitement of everyone involved, from a dungeon to a trial, its like having a giant party! Lots of cheering and happiness.

I have two main goals in ESO, to furnish every house from inns to mansions, and to obtain every achievement. It is very much a longterm goal that I am slowly working on, with only 13 houses decorated so far, and roughly 54k achievement points.

I am not sure exactly what makes my characters special, but I am super fond of them all. I only have six, all khajiit, one of each class. My nightblade Zyva is my quester, thief, and assassin for obvious reasons, and is the first character I ever made. I have nearly 300 days of playtime on her alone, and also learn every motif and furnishing pattern in the game. My templar Catsanova was made for battlegrounds initially, and later became a my solo-arena cat. My sorc Purricane is a werewolf damage dealer I have loved playing in Cyrodil to get those achievements and have a hilarious time memeing people with the wolf howl. My dragonknight Bonfur was made for tanking, and later retired to my favorite magicka dps at the moment. My necro Bonespurr used to be a healer and pvper, but is now basically my banker-cat, holding all the items that can be deconned into transmute stones (I am a bit of a gear-hoarder lol). And Catnip, my warden, is my healer main, with a goal of healing every trial HM in the game. I enjoy how unique all of my cats are, with different color schemes and purposes.

I am really looking forward to Arcanist and creating my first new character in a couple years!

I was about to play Skyrim for the 6th time when I heard that you could play ESO without a subscription. I started off unsure since I was predisposed against MMOs, but then I really enjoyed the Auridon story it really pulled me into the game and from there I was hooked.

    What's your favourite moment eso?
The 3 hour 3 way siege of Castle Roebuck in Cryodil. I am not sure how anything can top that incredible moment of holding that castle without any walls being sieged on both sides, everyone in cyro in one spot somehow we still held our ground.

    What's your goals in eso?
I don't know, I am sort of just slowly playing through the story on multiple characters from different perspectives. I have done pretty much everything once so now I am doing it twice or three times.

Have you finished decorating in housing in eso?
    Nope, but it's progressing nicely.

How long have you been playing?
I started during the first Halloween event.

    What makes your character special
I have 6 characters, I don't really consider any my main. My first character is a Khajit that looks like the predator as seen in that earlier photo. He is a gankblade, whose strategy has been nerfed multiple times now. I have a Pyromancer DK, just looking to max fire damage. The rare Templar tank, that I like to tinker with. My only character that has completed Vet Maelstrom my Sorc solo mage. my Stam dps Warden, who Is pretty generic I guess and my Nerco-healer, who has all the synergies.

ive been playing just over 9 years, i started april 6, 2014

its hard to name the favorite moment because theres so many of them lol, though in more recent memory was getting the vateshran trifecta

i dont really do housing (though i have like 71 right now)

my goals are more long term, which right now is collecting stuff (motifs, furnishing blueprints, and gear)

motif wise i have 91 motifs fully completed, furnishing blueprints about 50%, and i have about 88-89% of all set gear collected lol

other things i like to do is experiment with different gear setups
    plays PC/NA
