Albion now has an Asia-Pacific server, When will that happen for ESO?

WoW and Final Fantasy have had an Asia-Pacific server for years, and when the topic is brought up in ESO, people always quote a lack of players in the region (mostly people claim the oceanic population is too small).
I just read the news that Albion online just launched an Asia-Pacific server, and ESO has a much larger player base than Albion.
Not to mention the amount of new players that would join the game if there's a local server
I'm aware of all the logistic problems such as cost of running more servers and i know a lot of aussie and asian players would be happy just staying on NA

but the point is there are a lot of us who want a local server or can't enjoy quality gameplay without one, for example I personally can't stand the 300+ ping anymore and i would very much appreciate a local server

I'm bringing this up as a question for the developers as well. I'm just wondering about the possibility that, is there any chance, even in the distant future, ESO will have a new mega server in the Asia-Pacific region

I believe the last we heard officially on more servers was that an Oceanic server was not something they were going to do:

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/463360/anz-oceanic-server-announcement-from-zos/p1

I am not sure whether they would consider AP any different for the purposes of that statement.

It would seem to be not only down to game population, but also to the difference between servers and megaservers. I imagine that platforms also come into it, as it wouldn't be a single megaserver, it would have to be three megaservers.

that's definitely true, and im sure the player population can support that

As much as I would have love to see a Oceanic server, being Australian I decided a long time ago to accept that it will more than likely never happen.

If you can't stand the 300+ ping anymore take a break OR find a game with a more local server.

my point is an Asia-Pacific server, not an oceanic server, the australian population won't ever be able to support a local server, but the Asian population can
Asutralia is smaller than most of the SEA countries, not to mention Japan, Korea and China
A mega server located somewhere in Singapore or Hongkong would mean 100 less for all of the players in the region, and the gameplay experience difference is absolutely huge
