How did you decide your character name?

I took name of my Orc and Khajiit from Elder Scroll lore wiki page.
But I gave my Argonian comic book character name.

I suck at names and I was playing Skyrim at the time so I just plucked a name from that and since my char was blonde I went with Vexx but Vexx was taking so I took away an x and added Valentino after Val Valentino ( The Masked Magician ) and got Vex Valentino, the other's before the purge were funny pun names

either from movies or a blend of both, like i made a wood elf called it Goblin Hood like.. robin hood mixed with goblin , and it use beast personality and dressed up as robin hood ha


or like John Cleese i called character John Cadwell and made it look like Cadwell

I tend to reserve a name I like...for example as soon as they started talking about Necos...I reserved a slot for that name...for the Arcanist, I've done the same.

Khrogo

I tend to create humorous names involving wordplay. I do this more for my own amusement than anyone else’s.

Snoop Durzogg - a thin Dark Elf stamplar with cornrows.

Barack Embalmer - a necromancer who inexplicably likes to heal.

Swims-Both-Ways - an Argonian dragonknight who frequently switches between tank and healer roles.

Amphithoe

I prefer names that are accurate to the Lore and at the same time reflect the backstory of my character.

Destai

I used to name all my characters Dest-something. I think I've used Destai as my gamertag/main toon name for like 10+ years now, and just riff on that. Eventually it felt too formulaic, and I started using UESP or name generators as a starting point for something original.
