[Scriveners Hall] Keys being char-bound

Why are all those keys bound to your character? The scamp queen can only be summoned by having large heaps of keys.
Right now, many players are doing their runs and trying to get the quest (and skill point) done.
ALso i thought those character bound stuffs were considered no longer a thing, so why does it return?

Any chance this gets adressed?

I read somewhere that you need 20 keys but it is still not clear does 1 person have to open all 20 or 4 people can open 5 each or how does it exactly works... but it is 20 chests for sure

Console player here so I've not seen the new dungeons yet, but it sounds like collecting orbs in Black Drake Villa or maybe even mushrooms in Stone Garden which are also character bound.

ZOS encourages people to play a multitude of characters but such limitations are contradicting the whole purpose of it. They made the same mistake with PvP keys and changed them at some point to become account bound. To me the current situation is nothing but another oversight and having people to come around with workaround is nice but not the solution.

It's not one person, it's 20 keys total. Tested it yestarday, when I used only 6 keys, and rest of team also had 4-6 keys.

Those items are used within the one dungeon.

This situation is different:

You can only get 2 keys in 1 dungeon, so to get more keys you need to run the dungeon multiple times.
Right now: on the same character.

It may seem like an oversight until you consider that they don't want people to farm keys for, say, level 10/20/30/40 characters so that they can be OP in u50 campaigns. I don't think this is a simple switching of a 1 to a 0 in this case, thought went into this decision.

i too found the choice to make the keys character bound a little odd, like they are expecting you use them each run when you cant if you want to spawn the extra boss
