It is really really mega annoying to lose on any lost match 150 points and win only a fraction upon a victory. This is so MOTIVATION KILLING.

I really thought ESO is about providing FUN to players - NOT FRUSTRATION.

If you lose more than you're wining generally that means your mmr is below the rank you're currently in.

You don't have to be losing more than you're winning to get +20 for a win.

I think EnerG means "losing more points".

I really think this point system is not well adapted. I understand the idea behind but I think as it is it is still bad.

As soon as you have a certain level it incites to not risk your points and play at all.

The higher you are the higher is the probability that you are pitted against a lower ranked player which gives you zero points even if you put all effort in into winning. You just make this effort for fear of losing so many points. One further motivation to NOT queue in this situation.

Since probably a lot of higher ranked people will do exactly this your chances to meet a player of equal or higher rank will even get smaller. Reducing your chance to meet a higher ranked player and to get decent points on a win.

Also: Each new month rank list is empty. So every player passing rubedite has the same rank irrespective of his or her experience. A highly experienced player is the same rank as a newbie. So the newbie will likely be trashed which gives the experienced player a lot of points. Consequently if you aim for a higher rank you should play a lot early in the month and collect points as much as possible and then sit on these points until the end of the month.

I understand that the current approach shall prevent people to play arranged matches against each other. First I believe that players with this mind set will still find ways to abuse the system to their liking. Second it is penalizing the majority of players who play honestly.

Maybe an eternal ranking list could help here where points are distributed according to your rank in this eternal list. This list could be active for 12 month and to avoid an empty list at the beginning of the 12+1 month a shadow list should start counting at mid-term of running 12 month period. After 12 month the actual ranking list is wiped and the shadow list becomes the used ranking list and a new shadow list is created.
