Thank you, ZOS! This event is always fun.

This allowed me to get rid of some master writs, and I'm now only 4k writ vouchers(was 8k) away from one of my overall goals: All set crafting stations in my second house! (Gold coast Erstwhile Sanctuary)

Unfortunately, skills like antiquities and legerdemain do not benefit from the extra xp, as those are calculated differently. However, your normal sources earned experience, like defeating monsters, completing quests, etc will benefit.

Why is it that we can have these spontaneous surprise double EXP events, but not monthly imperial city or double AP events? Why is it that this is being hosted right after our PVP event was "postponed" indefinitely?

Midyear being postponed is lame but I guess for reasons that are different. What is funny is that double tel var IC event not only isn't given more frequently at the simple flip of a switch but was straight up cancelled.

Refusing to do something simple to incentivize a zone like Imperial City more, then straight up cancelling an event revolving around it and doing "surprise" random events like this just shows you are completely capable of turning simple events on but for some confusing reason refuse to give us even that.

Popped a 150% crown scroll and scooted on over to Alkir to join the dolmen train to level up my dual wield but was still only getting the same amount of xp as I would on a normal day. Are dolmens not included in this event?

The randomly-scheduled Explorer's Celebration is appreciated; but, why would the ESO-event-planners stick this event right before the Jester's Festival and ESO's anniversary, which both grant double XP.

Monthly Mayhem would have been a much better recurring event than Midyear Mayhem.
Please give PvPers a reason to play other than twice per year. ESO was marketed for PvP.
Double the AP bonuses from all sources for it (Imperial City, Cyrodiil, and Battlegrounds).
Once per month, start on a Friday at 10 AM EST and end on a Monday at 10 AM EST.
Give us something to look forward to each month. Not twice per year. Get the hint!

Ok, thanks for the clarification! Would be nice to get an event focused on those skill lines at some point, maybe like a Plunderer's Party (hypothetical name) event where DB, TG, Legerdemain, and Antiquities are all boosted.

So, would that 100,000 coin from antiquities sell for 200,000?

Only gold from quests and mobs gets doubled.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
