Recommend class for Dunmer magic dps oriented

ThalmorJusticiar
I was searching the old class spreadsheet from morrowind, Nightblade is already a class so, would be possible to quote and quote "be" a Witchunter, BattleMage or SpellSword for example?

and if so, what classes would you guys recommend?

yeah, i like using weapons and then spells as a suplement, i'm that kind of guy.

Any and all. Dunmer are one of the best choices for Mag DPS alongside Altmer and Breton. Dunmer and Altmer for outright damage, Breton for sustain (don’t underestimate the importance of sustaining rotations late game.)

Dunmer has the Flame defence which is useful if you want to Vamp at some point. Plus you get some extra Stam for dodging and breaking out of CC. Not a bad choice no matter what class you choose.

For your chosen play style then I would say Sorcerer or DK. These are the closest classes to a ‘spellblade’ feel. DK giving the Fire, and Sorc the Dark magic and Lightning. NB is more rogue shadow mage vibes. Warden is nature magic, Necro is skellingtons and Templar is epileptic light show.
But Arcanist is coming soon… might be what you’re looking for.

For a witchhunter I would go with a Nature based Warden: Ice destruction staff + bow, and a bear as your loyal companion to fight daedra/necromancers.

For a Spellsword you can use any class basically, add medium armor, dual wield, destro/resto staff.

For a Battlemage I would go with a Dragon Knight or Sorcerer. Dragon Knights for the fire theme, and Sorcerer for the Conjuration/lightning theme.

NIghtblades to me fall more in the rogue/thief category, or the blood mage category.

But you can mix and match so many armor/weapon/skill lines, that you can make nearly anything work with any class.
And so the Elder Scrolls foretold. You will be shy, and I will be bold.

Definitely go and make a Dragon Knight. That is a no-brainer at the moment. DK can do anything, except healing a vetTrial maybe.

Keep your hands off Sorcerer, Templar and Necromancer for now. They don't feel right to be honest.

Warden and Nightblade are good choices, but they are not easy to master.
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

A dark elf can be anything you want.

The real question is which role you expect to be, and if you want to play PvE, PvP or both with it ?

DK and Sorc do fine as DDs, Wardens do fine as tanks or healers but may lack a bit as pure DDs, Templars can still hit hard with stam weapons or make good pug healers/tanks, and Necros are odd ducks i never really figured out. You also may want to wait a few months to be an Arcanist as everyone else will also try.

Pick what you see fit, really, anything.
