Target for accessibility mode?
Hello I'm nearly blind person who played ESO up to 50 level few years ago when I had enough sight to play.
I heard ESO got accessibility mode so I was excited because we all wanted to play any elder scrolls game and I have returned to try.
Reinstalling the launcher was'n't very smooth, screen reader couldn't read some elements and could't just use Tab key to navigate so I had to use OCR mode and object navigations.
I managed to run the game but there was also issue. It did ask me to turn on the accessibility mode but I had no idea what is written there first because there is no narration before turning on accessibility mode. and even if you turn it on, it doesn't read up any menues oreven contents of accessibility mode itself.
I had to use OCR to figure out. I think I chose E one because I don't have a gamepad on PC.
Somehow I managed to get in the game , although it only reads up chat and probably area name. I couldn't check it because I didn't know where I am and didn't want to lost for now.
I wanted to check the accessibility mode again but F4 never give me the setting again. I don't know which button I should press to set it up again.
Probably there would be settings under the settings menu but I can't check things up without narration.
I tried OCR but big issue is ESO fonts are too close and bold so OCR doesn't read up correctly. I did like simple and easy to read fonts of ESO when I had more sights.
So far this is the current experience of accessibility mode.
Honestly it is impossible to play or turn on the mode if you don't have any sights or sighted help at this moment.
I understand it would be annoying for 99% of players if accessibility mode speak up when you accidentally turn it on.
But I don't know who is the target for accessibility mode with this current state as well.
I wrote kind of bad parts. However I very appreciate that ESO is trying to improve accessibility that is still so left behind or no existent in most of games yet.
I am very excited for the future development of it and hope those visually impaired Elder scrolls lovers can enjoy ESO sometime.
