What I'm hoping happens with all the Hybridization

I'm really hoping from a somewhat RP perspective that with these hybridization changes comes maybe some melee based magicka skill trees. I see a lot of people saying make all melee weapons restore magicka but my opinion is maybe make Dual Wield a flex tree seeing as a lot of magicka builds are using it then later introduce a "Sword and Ward" weapon tree for melee magicka and shield(maybe new ward items or a transmog-like effect on the shields). It'd just help us wanting to do a "Spellblade" type toon. Like right now, I have a vampire NB and it just feels weird carrying around a staff then seeing your melee attacks show the animation of having dual daggers before going back to a staff.

    Also, what I am referring to is heavy attacks restoring magicka (or "based on higher stat") just to clarify a little.

    Based on higher stat is a bad idea for heavy attack return since then you would only get one resource back no matter which type of weapon you would use. It will be awkward not being able to get stam back on a melee weapon heavy atk just because your magicka is higher than your stamina.

    The better solution is to cut resource return from heavy atks in half, BUT make them restore both magicka and stamina at the same time.

    i think resource recovery should be left the same, another thing is if you add a melee weapon that restores magicka, i agree about the spellblade, it would be a good option for melee magic classes if zos adapt this weapon for them

    We've been asking for ward/orb or sword/orb for 7 years.

    Adding an orb as a possible dual wield option would be convenient; you could then choose a weapon for the other hand.
