A simple suggestion for the sake of class identity

I'm here to propose not a solution, but one coherent step towards addressing the common complaints of class homogenization and hyper-hybridization in the current state of ESO.

I really liked that U36 gave Wardens their deserved thematic relevance with the frost staff passive (Piercing Cold). This and the chilled status passive make the Warden one of the most identitary classes in ESO as of now.

I think we could embrace that update's direction and bring back some archetypal identity to classes by using weapon-specific passives.

We could give 1 magicka option and 1 stamina option for each class. Classes like DK and Sorcerer would have obvious picks such as Flame and Shock, for instance, and their stamina options could be Sword & Board and Dual Wield, respectively.

This is the base idea to be discussed. I made an example distribution, but decided to not include it in this thread so as not come across as a blog post with my own wishful thinking. I'll leave the example in a Docs link instead.

I would much rather they return unique abilities to classes rather than giving most classes access to the same procs, etc.
Also, a sorcerer's default star weapon/passive adds being for dual wield makes no sense to me. Other than it being the current trend to up dps a bit. Lightning staff makes far more sense, in my opinion.

I agree that's the ideal move, but it would take us on a whole new road of rebalancing the game. At this point, I think adding an extra passive or two are more grounded suggestions.

I did include shock staff alongside DW for sorcs.

I'd rather them just go back and redesign the classes with actual class mechanics like what Necro and now Arcanist will have.

Split Destro Staves up into three separate lines. Would be a good start.
