Perhaps this is not enough, but better than nothing - if you did not have time to run around the location during the week. Flowers and trees will need to be watered every day. Seeds will drop with a rare chance from flowers and mobs themselves. You can also create certain furniture, tools and costumes for this activity + one mechanic in the game. Add a skill line to make your garden grow faster and provide more resources. It is possible to make one daily quest for the character npc, for which you can also get a reward (seeds or resources).
