Background: Have played ESO ~five years on the XboxOne. Longtime MMO player in general on PC and Xbox. PvE/PvP/Crafting/Group Content/Solo Content.

*^Observations**

The Good:

- Combat system is awesome and adaptive.
- Skill system gives a lot of customisation. I'm quite pleased that this game doesn't dictate to me which armour types and weapons my magic-user or my warrior or my rogue can use.
- Graphics, landscape and dungeon design are great. Definitely seems to appeal to "Z-axis" gamers like me.
- A la carte DLC is fine, and free players are even given a free taste of ESO benefits from time-to-time. More than generous.

The Not-so-Good:

- Could certainly use a longer AFK timer. Even hardcore games have to go sometime ...
- I'm used to it from Skyrim, but the selection reticle is really small, which, while it helps in some areas, it can lead to easy mistakes in others. I know you can disable it in options, but it would be nice to just leave the option off and not pick up everything a merchant has spread out on the counter willy-nilly.
**accidentally picks up random item on merchant counter**
Merchant: Guards! Thief!
Me: Whoa, whoa! It was an accident. Here, I'll just put back down ...
Merchant: Guards! Thief!
Me: You know, maybe you should keep your crap behind the counter? Just saying ...

- I realise that this is a game in progress, and High Isle isn't bad, but I think there's a need to fill in more of the main continent before branching out.

That's it. Thanks for the game. It's fun.

Longtime LOTRO player. ESO's combat system and graphics are far ahead of LOTRO.
